The hottest names
A list claiming to rank the 100 sexiest male names placed Liam at number one. Scott was absent entirely, while Chris searched for any evidence that his own name offered an advantage.
Listeners called to discover their positions and immediately treated the exercise as scientific proof. Harry appeared at number 40, and a Liam celebrated possessing the world’s hottest name without having changed anything about himself.
Meeting cardboard Bieber
Photographs from Justin Bieber’s tour showed that some expensive VIP packages now ended with fans posing beside a cardboard cutout rather than the singer. Scott could not understand why anybody would value the picture, so Chris took an old life-sized Bieber onto the street to test demand.
He initially asked whether passers-by wanted to meet Justin Bieber, only revealing the cardboard version around the corner. Instead of objecting, several people happily took photographs and others formed a crowd. Some who did not want to pose still photographed the cutout itself.
The experiment undermined Scott’s assumption. Even an image of a much younger Bieber, carried through London by Chris, produced enough excitement to operate its own meet-and-greet. Chris was told not to return until everybody waiting had received a picture.
A caller on horseback
One listener joined while riding a horse called Little. Scott struggled with the etiquette, wondering whether she should pull over and how a radio could be attached safely to a horse.
The show then returned to Battle of the Bangers. The listener judge had to consider the songs while also dealing with the discovery that his name had been assigned a position on the supposedly scientific hot list.
