21 October 2008: Scott returned from holiday after hiding from his new resort friend

Scott came back with a very specific holiday friendship

After time away with his parents, Scott returned tanned and full of stories about the resort. He had met a German holiday acquaintance called Michael and enjoyed the novelty until the prospect of more socialising became too much. At one point Scott hid outside in dark clothing to avoid being spotted.

Radio 1’s past came out again

The programme replayed early clips of Chris Moyles and Beccy Huxtable contacting radio stations before their Radio 1 careers, continuing the fascination with hearing familiar broadcasters before their voices and confidence had fully settled.

The wrong James Blunt received a fan call

Scott chose an ordinary James Blunt from the phone book and phoned as though he were an obsessive fan, even singing You’re Beautiful. The joke relied on the recipient sharing the singer’s name but none of his fame. An Andy Murray version of the show’s Balls of Disappointment feature added a sporting callback after a tennis defeat.
