Afternoon, it’s Wednesday, and here’s another detailed description of what’s been happening on the Scott Mills show today.
Scott was genuinely excited by the football match night and cancelled a meeting with his friends to see the game. The plot thickens about Laura today, as fame finally got to her. There were two reports her of running away from her fans.
Walliams in the studio… again!
David Walliams was back on. More people have climbed Mount Everest than swam that channel. David didn’t think Laura put him off. He said that every £100,000 raised Laura showed off one of her assets, and then another £100,000 she’d show the other.
Chappers: “What happened at £300,000 then?”
David’s Mum had taken a shine to Laura, could she be going over at Christmas? And they discussed Laura’s appearance on Richard & Judy yesterday. Scott wanted David to tell Judy that he’s saying hello. David thinks Scott’s sounding a bit desperate if he needs his name on the TV. David then described his love for Judy and the moment her breasts popped out at the TV awards.
David: “And then John Leslie stood up and that was a bit disappointing”
He thanked the listeners for all of their money and donations that they have given to him. You can still donate a pound via text by sending “David” to 82125 or by visiting the Sport Relief website. Tomorrow Scott will be announcing who has won that walk on part on the Little Britain Christmas Special.
An hour later and Richard and Judy gave Scott a hello. Judy even waved at the screen. Richard said he’d see Scott tomorrow on the show so make way for JK and Joel tomorrow afternoon.
Lloyd the Football Expert
Lloyd was also back on. Scott thought Germany would win, perhaps because they’d take advantage of being in their home country. Mr Mills had a feeling that Italy would win the whole world cup. More jokes from Lloyd which were completely irrelevant to the football, and it was almost like JK and Joel were on the air covering for Scott (next week people!)

Elsewhere on Radio 1, Hurley off of Lost was in with Jo Whiley today – make sure you Listen Again to that. Scott and Chappers really couldn’t see the point of Lost, and really didn’t find it entertaining. One person pointed out on the text that “Lost is just like your show Scott, it promises lots of exciting things but it just doesn’t happen”. The argument was like the Harry Potter scenario from last year all over again (check out the show clips pages for that). Finally Scott decided it was time for us all to chill, and to listen to a bit of Susan Jeffers to calm down, along with a bit of panpipes.
Also today, is Claire off of Captain – this week’s Record of the Week – fit? From the looks of myspace, and listeners’ reports it appears she is.
Oh and fan news! It took Scott yesterday two hours, and he had to go over to the pub opposite to get the land lord to assemble the fan for him – it took just 30 seconds. He asks his land lord some crazy requests, like the time he got burnt tanning and asked for some after sun.
A nice show of banter today, and certainly worth a Listen Again. Sorry about the lack of exciting pictures today, it’s been a busy week, so I’m struggling to find the time that I usually have to search Google for pictures. Tomorrow’s review is with Ross, hopefully!
