Good morning! If it wasn’t bad enough that the show started at 7am this morning, try traveling until 3am and spending the night before in a pub with a 10-year-old football guru! More on that later!

Lloyd the Football Expert
Chappers loved the World Cup last night, Scott meanwhile was at a World Cup party. Scott had sent an internal memo at Radio 1 for the World Cup party, but only got two replies – clearly he had left it too late. He had told the pub that there would be 40 people there. They even spent the afternoon texting all of the show’s friends – but no one could get there. Certainly there wasn’t! In true Scott Mills style, he left his credit card at the pub after paying the bill. Chappers argues you could probably now go to that pub and pose as Scott, and get his credit card. Lloyd brought his own yellow and red cards, which he continued to flash at the screen when he felt appropriate, and even when he didn’t feel appropriate. Laura came into work this morning and had no idea of who had won, despite watching it on a pretty big television screen last night. You should have seen the guest list, it was huge.
Now Mills has a friend who lives in Dubai. No surprise there. But in this country they have a policy there where you can drop your business card into a box when you leave a restaurant. He’s not a small lad, but the other day went to Wendy’s. Word has now spread that he’s “customer of the month” there, what a title to hold!
And back to Reality TV… Love Island starts again tonight (without the word ‘celebrity’) – and neither Scott nor Chappers had been invited on to the show. Another bunch of nobodies, good luck their four viewers. Even with Georgina they couldn’t fathom out who all of them were. They were awfully surprised a member of The Streets was going on it.

Lloyd – Flying the flag high
The team has been felt so much more educated in football (and relationships!) since the start of the World Cup thanks to one ten-year-old-boy, and is rapidly becoming Britain’s most loved football pundit. He was in the studio today, and so far thinks his highlight was meeting Scott – not speaking to Paris. Today the pressure is on for Scott. For every question he got right, Lloyd got a prize. I’m sure he’s had a lovely time and everything, so it shouldn’t be a problem if he goes empty handed. So how much had Lloyd taught Scott? Prizes that Scott managed to win included Swing-ball, a Barry White CD, and the new Liverpool kit. The poof, however, Scott could have won, remains in the studio.

Justin Timberlake Announcement
Scott had a big announcement at 8.15 about Justin Timberlake. We know he’s not going on Love Island, as on Wednesday, he will be playing an exclusive set for Radio 1 including songs off his new album. He’s got a massive backing band lined up, in Madia Vale. Scott will then interview Justin, for a special interview show which will go out on air on Sunday night. Some people were wondering whether the guy shouting ‘yeah!’ in the background was Scott – he’s obviously such a close friend that Justin asked him to do it.

Aled’s Sport Relief Swim
Aled was in the studio today, as he’s working. He was on to talk about Sport Relief. Sadly no boat for Aled this time, as Laura’s running it. Aled’s diet has consisted of chips; hopefully there will be more of the hot pants, as Chappers loved them in Germany. Make sure you visit the Sport_Relief website to help donate, or send ‘Aled’ to 82125 (£1 a text). The current total he’s raised is £55,529.05 – no where near the amount David Walliams got.
Scott saw the Colin & Edith ‘T in the Park’ show on BBC Three last night. They had a guy called Douggie interviewing the bands as they came off, but it was 10 minutes before they reached him, and they left him on-air dying on his arse as he waited. Great viewing, but I wouldn’t laugh Chappers, we’ve still not forgotten World Cuppa!

Tonnes of listeners were calling in ‘coming out’ to the Paris Hilton track. Postmen, milkmen, barbers and farmers. Get it off your chest, and tell the world for your love of her music!
There was also discussion of Only Fools on Horses – the new Sport Relief programme – where Scott said he’ll pay good money to see those small fences raised up to a decent height. They’re supporting fellow Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox.
Scott: “Lots of people saying I should try Horse Jumping”
Chappers: “I’d like to see you do that too!”
Scott: “Sounds a bit wrong doesn’t it”
Horses have feelings too!
Suggestions were coming in during the show of Scott riding a Shetland pony for the Sport Relief mile. Even if he did, it’d all be about him again, trying to get attention. The only horse Scott says he’ll get on is a panto horse.
Chappers: “Future career…”

Jono’s Verdict
A good show today, although I think the difference between Moyles and Mills can be difficult to get used to. If I could give one slight criticism of the show, there was probably a bit too much music for my liking, but a good start to the week.
