Scott’s in a good mood today, I wonder why? Perhaps it’s because he’s been posting on the Unofficial Mills message board. Check it out, as we talk Sony Radio Awards, Chappers’ Hair: Hot or Not? and this week’s shows.
Chappers is back, but Scott wasn’t sure if he’d been away.
Scott: “Well I didn’t know if you did one of those Vernon things”
And he’s now a pay as you go phone customer, as once again he’s lost his phone. He spent an hour trying to top his phone. He should have loads of credit.
Scott: “Sara Cox should have loads of credit. Chris should have credit coming out of his ears.”
Scott thinks that pagers are the way forward, off of the early 90s, just like the engineers that still use them. It’s obviously the same people that are still using fax machines. Don’t be so dismissive though, plenty of listeners have them, and they always have a signal apparently.
One guy called in to say he’d just fixed Duncan off of Blue’s telly. There were gold desks, and loads of pictures of themselves. He was playing all of his famous answerphone messages – Jack Ryder, Lee from Blue and Tara PT. He just kept playing them over and over again.
Scott: “Imagine if they come round to our house for a change”
Chappers: “Our house? I thought we weren’t going to talk about that!”
A surprising amount of people have visited Scott’s house, Scott says he had a bad spell when he did invite a lot of people to his home. More from Scott’s Celebrity Cribs special on tomorrow’s show.
Flirt Divert
On Flirt Divert tonight, a call for Mr A Bailing (as in ‘Hay Bailing’) and a woman who was left with a dog whilst he went for a CD. She seemed a bit stress about it. Chappers still wasn’t sure what hay bailing was about, but the farmers found it flipping funny.
Also on the show some poor girl called in to ask how you have to be allowed to go to Radio 1’s Big Weekend, but Scott just told her how to register. By the time Scott discovered his mistake the deadline had passed.

Price Is Right with a twist
Scott had an e-mail off Elaine and she was having problems with her partner. She’s getting married soon to a guy called Toby, and they’d been seeing each other for 2 years. The problem is that he has stuff she wants out of the house. The sort of single bloke stuff that includes posters of old footballers, an inflatable chair, football magazine covers, and an inflatable ‘Rock’ Wrestler. Thankfully there’s no danger of Scott splitting them up in this feature. Scott’s going to be auctioning some of this stuff off on tomorrow’s show.
Chappers: “Will you be auctioning some of your stuff off like the dish washer and sink?”
