Highlights from the show
Day three of the Breakfast show and today it's all about Gareth – the guy with a huge collection of hats.
So what's been happening since the last show? Scott didn't sleep at home last night. He went to the travel tavern down the road, and was dressed in a 'Say No to Wogan' t-shirt on today. He hadn't taken the right keys out and was in denial for 10 minutes trying to get the keys to work. What's wrong with putting all the same keys on the same key ring? Same jeans, binned underwear – no panties and a free t-shirt.
Chappers – Does that mean all morning that's all I'm going to think about… well I'm not going to think about it… scrap that
Lots of listeners were also revealing they were also 'hanging loose'. I think that's a bit too much information – I know the show's been nominated for best interactive show and everything, but there's some things a DJ doesn't want to know, nor its listeners.
New Jingle #6 – Laura's Date
"We've been on our big tour bus, we traveled all last week,
We drank some wine, we ate some crap, we did not get much sleep,
Now we're back on mornings, we really cannot wait,
'Cos finally we will send Laura, on her perfect date,

The Chris Moyles Show with Scott Mills – Why can't I turn off the radio?
Yesterday Shep denied having a girlfriend, despite a girl claiming they were an item. Colin Murray yesterday started a campaign trying to kick him out of the competition and get James back in, whilst Shep wants to start up a 'Shep is innocent' campaign. Yesterday I mentioned getting a lie detector test done, and Chappers is very keen on the idea. Scott's not keen on getting one of the team to wire him up, but the listeners gave a resounding yes. Scott reckons his mate who used to be on Trisha probably has some lying around his home. Chappers reckons they should use it on Laura as well, and Scott and George, just for fun. And why aren't these things pocket size? Turns out they are. There was also a guy trying to flog his technology work from when he was seven years old, he said he made a lie detector test then. Not really the most scientific idea is it, a huge competition and they use a seven-year-old's lie detector. Scott can have my D&T wood box too if he likes. The Trisha Show and The Jeremy Kyle Show were offering their services to Scott by the end of the show, so result!
Planet Earth – Captions are great… Even this picture has one…
What else happened today? Chappers was stirring up the Planet Earth fans. He doesn't see the attraction to the show (neither can I). It clashes with Poirot apparently.
Chappers – There's no new species to discover. All the animals have been found! He's been doing the same thing for years
All the DJs are banging on about it, but I just don't see the attraction either. What do you think? Tell me on the forum. Scott and Chappers seem to think that the animals on roller skates – possibly pandas – hide behind bushes waiting for the cameramen to go for a loo break after sitting around for several hours. After that thought Scott was struggling to cope with trying to get the image of pandas on roller skates out of his head. I reckon when bird flu comes around Chappers will be able to takeover David Attenborough's job. And yes, breakfast is sending the team madder by the day…
A rather sober (for a change) Gareth joined Scott and Chappers in the studio. Gareth the other day went to the pub with Shep, but had no gossip apart from he was going to go on X-Factor. On Monday they all went on a speed date to gross out the contestants, with Laura 'farting' quite a bit.
Also on the show
Gareth – I've had two poos today, it ain't me
Laura then got her Athletes Foot out to show Gareth. Now on to the serious stuff – they were discussing cats – Laura pretended to be a girl who calls her cats her 'babies'. She was quite liking the sober Gareth.
Gareth was feeling rather rock and roll; he had celebrity sun glasses on. The local newspaper was on to him wanting a story and a picture, but he said the paper was more of a 'leaflet'. There were more clips from the contestants' friends. The rumour about him being a computer programmer is actually true! There's hope for us all yet. Gareth gets very bored quickly, and likes to keep busy, by doing random acts in shops. On Ben, he said he's 'a lovable goon'. Scott denied that there'll be an Eastenders style twist, and that Laura won't end up a lesbian. And during the show there were e-mails coming in wanting Gareth to appear on a major television show. Celebrity Love Island may be? Big Brother? That's pretty amazing – Scott couldn't even get on Crimewatch!
There's an interesting article in the Chard and Ilminster news about Gareth – they claim he'S Chard's most eligible bachelor. Read it here.
New Jingle #7 – Gareth's jingle
"The winner's name was Gareth, there was something there we liked,
He's gone and won a chance to be with Laura for one night,
We met Gareth in Cardiff, where it's always bloody raining,
He's just like that Pete Doherty, apart from he's more entertaining,

Scott's Sports Quiz
Scott's Sports Quiz was back on today, giving away tickets to the Grand National. After much hesitation Scott gave the question 'what is the horse racing place begins with the letter M?' The answer of course – Muscleborough.
The Chris Moyles Show with Scott Mills – He's all that you have. Hit me baby, hit me back, he's all yours
On Friday Scott will be presenting the drive time show bringing the result of One Night with Laura. I thought that Chappers should be Peter Snow, bringing the statistics on a swing-o-meter. And how about a Eurovision style vote with Scott cutting over to different parts of the country? Scott agreed, and even gave me a little mention for the post on the forum! Hear that in our show clips part of the forum.
Shep was back on. Now he's hitting back at the girl he was so close to last week. He said she's no longer a friend and that she's a bunny boiler! And there's a name for all this – ‘Shep Gate’. The whole nation's getting work up about it, I think we could get a few Eamon vs Frankiee style singles out of this.
The Chris Moyles Show with Scott Mills – He's looking extra fly for the day he dies
Final Thoughts
Very funny show, and very random. Not a single feature apart from One Night With Laura, but I think the banter was of a high quality standard, and a mention – so anything bad can be forgotten about!
Scott returns again tomorrow morning with Ben (cue accordion). Check out JK and Joel this afternoon, they've got some interesting Rate My Listener photographs to share.
