I assume the schedule will be updated further as I doubt there will be an early breakfast show on bank holiday Monday if breakfast starts at 6 and is hosted by Dean.

Vernon is now listed on Good Friday (he's usually off every bank holiday). Gary Davies was originally listed, but he's currently sitting in all this week and Monday/Tuesday next week.

Tomorrow between 5 & 7pm is a special programme remembering Johnnie Walker on what would've been his 80th birthday. Hosted by Jo Whiley.

OJ and Gary are in for Scott and Vernon respectively on Easter Monday as well. Richie Anderson is in for Sara Cox on the same day.

Tbf, it's quite common for the early breakfast presenter to cover the main breakfast show on bank holidays. Arielle did it several times, as has Dean since he took over. I'm assuming Matt & Jerry/Mollie are the main breakfast cover still.

Owain Wyn Evans in for Rylan on Saturday 5th April. Shaun Keaveny is presenting the interim Sunday 5-7pm slot by the looks of it until Pick Of The Pops moves to that slot in May. Richie Anderson takes over the Sunday into Monday overnight slot on 7th April.

I agree about Emil. It's great that he's getting such high profile cover despite not being a full time presenter. Hopefully he's someone fully on Radio 1's radar in the next few years for a full time show.

Fair point about the anthems 'hour', I just personally don't see the need for a 'themed' 20's show when that's pretty much what the current playlist is (new music and recent recurrents). 00's and 10's makes sense as they're pretty much nostalgia at this point, which is why they're popular on BBC Sounds.

I really don't see the point in Radio 1 20's? The main daytime playlist is exactly that. I know the last half hour of the show is Anthems but it just doesn't make sense having weekend breakfast run till 10:30 on a Saturday, then 10am on Sundays.

Radio 2 in general have embraced producing clips for Instagram since moving to the 8th Floor (I assume the cameras in the studio were limited at Wogan House). Saturday in particular has lots of visual content uploaded from the likes of Rylan and Romesh's shows.

Good Friday: Connor Phillips in for OJ Borg OJ Borg in for Scott Mills on the breakfast show 7-9pm is Easter Reflections with Rev. Kate Botley. Angela Griffin hosts a Radio 2 Unwinds Good Friday special between 9pm and midnight.

It's apparently Rob Beckett's last permanent show on Radio 2 this Sunday ahead of Pick Of The Pops moving to that slot later on in the spring.

Shaun Keaveny is sitting in for Tony Blackburn on 'The Golden Hour' tomorrow, in addition to covering Rob Beckett's show (in the slot before the Golden Hour).

Ellie Taylor is no longer listed as covering Sara Cox's show on 25th/26th March. It has reverted to Sara on the schedule, although OJ Borg mentioned when sitting in for her yesterday that he's covering drivetime again in a few weeks.

Bit of a random one on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th January Ellie Taylor (I assume the comedian and tv presenter) in for Sara Cox. Presenting debut on R2. Has she ever done any radio elsewhere before? I could understand if it was one of the weekend shows, they regularly have tv personalities sitting in but drivetime seems a bit of an odd choice. Even if OJ Borg was unavailable (he's currently listed on his usual slot on those days), surely there are plenty of existing Radio 2 presenters they could call upon?

Here's an interesting one... Sara Cox is in for Scott covering breakfast on Monday 10th March. She was previously the main stand in for Chris Evans on the breakfast show prior to her taking over drivetime. In turn, OJ Borg is in for Sara on drive.. and Phil Williams is on overnight for OJ.
