    Whisper it, folks, but ... Every time someone stands-in for Jack Saunders, the show has improved.

    Credit where it's due - Every time JS has stood-in for Clara Amfo, that's also improved matters - but that's quite a low bar!

    I dont agree i think Jack has really upped his game on the chart recently and the way he announced the beatles at number 1 was great

    Monday 11th December

    Sam Quek in for Phill Williams on the overnight show (I assume first time she's broadcast on R2)

    Nicki Chapman in for Zoe Ball on breakfast.

    Wynn Evans in for Owain on early breakfast all week.

    W/C Mon 18th December

    Gary Davies in for Vernon

    Interestingly, Rylan is in for Scott that week. It's been a few years since he covered a show. I recall he did a week covering breakfast a few years back.

    Shame Mills is not on week leading up to Christmas. Always loved him on radio over christmas

    I know why things were as they were but I have found Christmas a time I tune away from Radio 1 as the anthems shows just become very tedious.  So with more experienced presenters on, hopefully the station can sound more normal.  But I wouldn't guarantee that.

    Yep totally agree and used to love predicting christmas line ups years ago. Would love to hear more of the likes of Ore,James,Nat and Sam and Danni over the festive period

    Here we go again.... another RAJAR day so more BBC Sounds Data. Full PDF is here.

    Scott Mills Daily continues to be the 4th biggest 'OD Programme - U35 Skew'... but it is also the BIGGEST 'Under 35 Skew Podcast':

    1 = Scott Mills Daily
    2 = At Home With Vick & Jordan
    3 = 6 Degrees from Jamie & Spencer
    4 = All Day Breakfast with Greg James

    I think Greg James falls below Vick & Jordan for podcasts because he has the 2nd biggest show on listen backs, just behind Radio 1 00s.

    1 = Radio 1 00s
    2 = Radio 1 Breakfast with Greg James
    3 = Radio 1 DJ Hunt
    4 = Radio 1's Scott Mills Daily
    5 = Radio 1's At Home With Vick & Jordan
    8 = Going Home with Vick & Jordan

    Love all this data find it so fascinating. Where do i find other stations stuff?

    I do think that Matt and Mollie should leave at the same time I think that Mollie King could become good asset for Heart FM, Hits Radio or even Radio 2. If I was a commercial rival having someone that is a television personality and former pop-star who is a popular presenter a pop station. I think the station of Hits Radio isn’t as strong and doesn’t have a set image as it’s sister station Greatest Hits Radio should see Hits as a space to go all out pop station celebrating mix of girl bands, boy bands, one hit wonders and icon pop stars with playlists that follow trending songs on social media and the rising stars in pop.

    While i understand this arguement i think Mollie has legs left in her Radio 1 run

  7. Roman moved from the evening show to Breakfast so was not a big name. Has he mentioned it yet? I have just tuned in

    If he was gonna announce surely between 8-9 is best? Although remeber all the times Moyles was leaving in The Sun since about 2009 and when they stopped the stories in 2012 that was it

  8. Mine is Greg and then Vernon at 1030, then maybe stick around for Vine if the topics interest me if not i wack on a podcast. Then Mills 2-4 then over to Vick and Jordan until 5.45 switch over to Coxy on Radio 2 then Jo Whiley to end the day.

    Weekends Sam&Danni, Katie, Matt&Mollie, switch to 5Live for the footy(if not on then Dance Anthems) Love Nat on Sunday and Vick and Katie doing the Chart 6-7

    I remember that Chris Stark as part of his contract at Global he was set to host and create a sports podcast for the companies slats of originals maybe sitting along News Agents as a topical podcast almost a year into his Global career not any sign of the podcast.

    Yep im dissapointed that stark has not managed to do more than just breakfast at global. Anyone else think if Mills ever gets Radio 2 Breakfast he would come back?

    The problem is with Radio 2 having the 00s stuff, is that they need to grow some balls so to speak. We can't have play it safe Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Will Young all the time. They need to play stuff like Pendulum, Linkin Park, Slipknot. Some of the popular dance and trance stuff too. This is how the 00s was and how we remember it. Otherwise if they don't it still suits Radio 1 better.

    Yep when you look at early 00s it was a boom period for so many different genres of music. Loved early 00s

  11. I think if Radio 1 do eventually drop 00s show then yes i can see Sounds of the 00s coming to Radio 2. I remeber when Absolute Radio used to do the 80s Hour every morning at 10 and it was so popular next thing you know the birth of sister station Absolute 80s
