  1. Can't think why you didn't quote what he then said afterwards
  2. I found What Am I hilarious. It's hardly going to be a regular feature, and the stupidity was part of its charm. And the ridiculous clips of Jedward is allowed for. Rubbing up against trees. Tehee.
  3. Viv must have seen an advert for consolidating your debt in to one easily avoidable daily post.
  4. If you've been following me on Twitter you'll probably have seen me over the last 3 weeks, most of the time I'm rambling about some ridiculous need to blog in a panic around 10:30pm every night. This will probably continue for a long time. It's all about some challenge that I'm doing, and it'd be fun to get some more people from UM involved too. Basically, the idea is to write a blog every day for the year. Simples. The rules are, one blog, each day, a minimum of one paragraph (see? that's not too bad!) and a day is when you wake up to when you to sleep. No pissy midnight guidelines here. Even if you don't manage it every day, it's still a fun challenge to push yourself to do. A test of actually getting stuff done for deadlines, resolve, and creativity as you come up with 365 things to write about. What you do from there is up to you: maybe a diary, maybe more in the style of a column, or maybe different things on different days. Push yourself creatively, practice writing and have a laugh with it. It's something that's started via twitter, hence the #oneaday hashtag title, and there's a fancy hub page at http://ultrabrilliant.co.uk/network/ with everyone who is taking part. It'd be great to see some more people join in, as it's fun to read everyone's blogs and it's like a little community now. You can host your blog wherever, maybe do it here on UM, get a free Wordpress.com blog or go elsewhere. I personally recommend Tumblr, as you get so much customisation options, and there's a nice 'follow' system which helps you keep up to date with other people. Mine's http://boxofhatsandwigs.tumblr.com/ - I'm 22 days in so far, but it's never too late to start. Now, just need to come up with something today...
  5. I love my disabilities. Well, no, one of the two sucks but the lax ligaments is great for wrangling stuff at Uni. I'm currently on my DSA laptop with my voice recorder next to me, and behind me is the printer. I'm also sitting in one of the larger rooms in halls, which are reserved for people on the disability list. And extra time is always good. I sort of am making light of it all, but it's worth getting tested/checked. It's a bit of peace of mind, and you know that stuff can be done to help you because of it. And you've got the backup of anti-discrimination laws with jobs and things.
  6. Don't you get more money from Student Finance if you're not living with your parents? That should just about cover accommodation. Mine's tight, but technically I can afford it.
  7. Don't be so ridiculous. He doesn't like to gag women before shagging them. He likes to gag EVERYONE. Odd night.
  8. I don't understand how you're all so surprised he's a comedian. I've seen the 5:19 Show, it's obviously a massive joke. BOOM BOOM!
  9. The title of the video on the website is "100115_mattedmonson". I keep reading that as Matted Monson. That's his new name. It's amused me throughout today. Yes, my life is that empty.
  10. http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/lincolnshire/hi/people_and_places/newsid_8462000/8462575.stm Interview with her on BBC Lincolnshire.
  11. Viv, the idea of the Switch block of programming is to specifically target the younger audience. So don't get your knickers in a twist. Pity to hear they're shortening the surgery and worse, giving Deacon airtime. I thought it was as good day when they stopped using his voice on promos.
  12. Dappy should get the blame fully as he was the one who did the shit. However, maybe the way numbers are displayed with texts on those screens should be reviewed/modified. But still, Dappy is a c
  13. I would like to do my best Mitchell impression now. Told you Dappy is a c**t.

    Glee

You say it's too much like High School Musical, and you've judged this because it's got music and is set in a high school rather than watching it? It's actually very different and much more clever.

Loveee it. Favourite show of 09. I've seen the first series, and although the next ep is a bit shit (ep 3), it picks up from there and keeps getting better. I'm currently listening to the soundtrack now.
  16. Contrary to popular belief, well, Grace, I'd just like to say this ISN'T me on OWO, even if "he has the same way of going to disagree and then stopping and going 'yes.'".
  17. Just watched the Jamie and Chris cooking videos. 25 mins of cooking on R1 online might seem odd considering it's a hip and youth station with music, but quite funny.
  18. ..I've just decided it's hard for me to truly criticise them after Tulisa this morning, saying both "Is it like Mario Kart", but more significantly "for all those times you beat me on Ecco the Dolphin".
  19. Nope. It's a new closing jingle, based on Morning Movie.
  20. Just to say, 2 people were offended enough to complain to Ofcom about this. Ofcom didn't do anything, and just said the show is not in breach of rules. This is probably because of the apology, it was an accident, and because they were pointless pissy whining Daily Mail reading twats. Probably. (From the same bulletin, there were complaints about the Chris Moyles Show, 23rd and 24th November, for Generally Accepted Standards. Neither of them were upheld... wonder what they were about?)
  21. I'm not happy with the competitions either. But that's as I woke up to listen to the show to hear exactly what the phrase to say was (and to hear you all return, obviously...) and didn't win, so there we go.
  22. I can't wait for Monopoly with Tinchy Strider.
  23. I can see the comparison with the sort of CiN style jingles! Really nice, and the pips during the gap between Chris Moyles Show and BBC Radio 1 sounds fantastic. ... oh good god he just played morning epic. Even bigger. This is so silly. I love them both, but Morning Epic, the second of the two themes (played during Dom's weather) is... uh... yeah, over the topic.
  24. BBC pay a flat fee to PRS. Whether Moyles chooses to claim money from PRS or not has no effect on how much the BBC spend. I think since the whole fuss around it he has said (or started to then) waive the fee, but as this was something said on the show, all I can find to back me up is a post on Moyles.net (as no-one would report it as it's not something they can bash Moyles with).
