I'm 18, so bang on target too. In the past month, I have only listened to Chris live, and Scott's podcasts, (Except at work...), I don't fit with the station I love. I'm think I'm going to be listening to spotify after Scott has finished breakfast next week. Maybe Chris was right, when the saviour leaves Yalding house, the station will fall apart. (Even BBC News is predicting a big drop in figures in their article.)

I think he has an inflated fan base because of his friendship with one direction. I doubt any of them would listen to one of his 10-12 shows.

I still think Radio 1 will cycle through breakfast show djs quickly for 5 years... hence the "breakfast show with..." title, in order to lose the association with Moyles. Grimmy may change his style, but any change will only to sound more like Moyles, which will probably be in the wrong direction for the audience, who will view him as a cheaper (literally) alternative.

I find it strange that a presenter taking over the breakfast show to shift the focus to new music, has Cheryl as a guest. Also, Mills has confirmed he will be the cover for Grimmy (another odd choice) and I think the advert is pretty much what everyone hoped the breakfast show wouldn't be, but feared it would be.

Firstly: I claim your source to be bollocks. Secondly: a lot of us have already suggested Matt/ Chris for that slot. It's hardly new information is it? However: A 'source' that I know has claimed that Chris will be visiting every supermarket in Albania, if he doesn't get given the exclusive 11:05 to 12:37 slot. And then to storm the offices of Radio 1 and go on an on-air 3 hour rant about Viv's lies.

I can't think of a guest in the last 5 years, that's actually added something to a show (obviously ignoring performances in live lounges etc.)

The last 14 shows are going to be a tough listen for any massive fans. There'll be laughs, but there'll always be an overwhelming sense of ending to all the fun, and to a friendship... I think there will be many tears shed, not just on their last day, but throughout their last week.

Yeah, exactly the same... a spoof of the real video with Chappers, Scott et al, doing exercise and having a laugh to a song they enhoyed? Same. Almost identical.

Be nice? BE NICE? I said 'Go Away' - I could have made myself much clearer. Judging by the fact half of the DJs seem not to actually like the song (eg. Scott "Novelty Record" "Eurovision", and Fearne mocking it on Thursday) and a majority of the current daytime DJs wouldn't appreciate the 'sport' in the 'olympics' themed video, I would think it's fair to say, that no. As a whole, the well known DJs of radio 1 would not be keen on the whole sorry excuse for a thread.

Yeah, I like Dev... Huw, Vernon, Reggie and Gemma however, make weekends almost unbearable at the moment... (Huw being the worst, closely followed by VK etc) Because of this I suggest they sack all weekend djs and just have two 9 hour Moyles shows a week...

I think Matt will be getting more than 1 show a week, but unless cooper has bigger balls than are currently accredited to him, Matt won't get a daytime slot, due to his slightly more 'fruitful' language choices - which are totally allowed on the radio, just that Radio 1 isn't keen on it (yet)...

AGE OF DJ DOES NOT EQUAL AGE OF AUDIENCE. Radio 1 are more concerned with age of audience. Westwood, in his 50s, has the youngest average audience out of Radio 1 or 1xtra. Scott will stay about (if he wants to) because younger people like his show (of course age will be higher due to timeslot). Personally I can't stand Huw, and can't see him hanging around for much longer on day time. Phil clearly has a strong with radio 1, which they will encourage. I can see that Radio 1 might effectively switch foci, with music being the primary focus during the day, and entertainment from 1900-2400. (possibly 1600-2400). Moyles and Matt would probably feature daily in the line up...

I meant in terms of the music. But if they can't afford to run both stations, close 1xtra. Pretty simple.
