Yay, the brass! I'd actually gotten so used to that terrible edited version that it started sounding normal.

The fact that more cases are being reported hourly is surely disconcerting? It's spread from the US and Mexico to around the world within the day, I can only imagine it hitting the general populace within days unless quarantine is kept very well. It seems that it's been developing in Mexico since March and that most deaths have been recent contributing to the rise in media interest, it could take a lot less time to develop now in other countries.

It's had more time to develop in Mexico, it's just not been reported. I'm sure in a few days we'll see more symptoms from the outside of there. Also, in Mexico, it was in a very highly populated area where it could have thrived, it probably will develop more elsewhere.

Even seeing this for the first time yesterday, it seemed so much more real than the past Bird Flu panics. Something else that is quite strange, is that no one reported this until it hit the US, now it's already spread a long way before the media really took interest. No matter how scary it is, I still prefered watching Sky News today because of the lack of Recession repetitiveness.
