  1. Hi Scott, hi Chris! Congratulations on a legendary run - and thank you for your companionship over the years. I discovered your show through your podcast back in 2006, and have been a daily subscriber/listener ever since. I was 14, I'm now 30 - and you've been there through all of those life changes. Best of luck to the both of you. While the future is exciting, this is still an emotional moment. James in Vancouver, Canada
  2. Oh Chappers... To be frank, you never really fit-in with the rest of Radio 1, and that what's made you a legend. You were the father-figure of the Mills and Cox shows, and both will no-doubt go off the rails immediately. Good luck at ESPN!
  3. Sorry if I'm not the first person to start a thread on this subject! Where do you think Mills will end up once he leaves Radio 1? Unlike Moyles, I can't see Scott presenting on Radio 2 or 6 Music, so does this mean he'll have to move back to commercial radio? Assuming he leaves Radio 1 in 2-4 years, I wouldn't be surprised to see him pop-up somewhere like Capital or BRMB... Your thoughts?
  4. Would anyone mind posting an MP3 of the Jaguar Skills mix for those of us who don't live in the UK? Thanks.
  5. Actually, it started LAST Sunday... The first number 1 was David Guetta (Feat. Kelly Rowland) - When Love Takes Over.
  6. This is probably the first real anoraky question anyone's asked. Is there any chance we'll ever get to hear clean versions of the talk-over beds? Even the ones that haven't been used in a couple of years! Also, whatever happened to "Beccy's Got Talent?"
  7. Hate to sound like an arrogant so-and-so, but I remember predicting this in an old post, and getting a barrage of abuse.
  8. Greg has apparently overslept, and Mary Anne is filling in! This is absolutely hilarious, thank god she does her show live, or else Radio 1 would have been is serious trouble, it would have been Producer Neil's Early Breakfast show! As of 4:23, Greg is back. I'm kind of sad really, as I was enjoying Mary Anne's style with the mainstream music.
  9. I have every Mills and Moyles podcast since March, 2007... that's over 350 Mills podcasts!
  10. Oh my actual god! They read out my letter in "Dear Scott". I invited them to Vancouver in 2010 and that sparked the whole curling debate and possibly a new feature (Beccy's Got Talent)!!! Wow, and it even made the podcast!
  11. Wise Buddah is actually mostly a talent agency, who do some jingles. What you're looking for is made by Noise Fusion: http://www.noisefusion.com/portfolio/bbcradio1.htm You're welcome!
  12. Is it just me or would I prefer to have podcasts like "The Best of 2004" etc. instead of this 2008 monthly stuff.
  13. Last song of Radio 1 in 2008: Muse - Knights of Cydonia First song of Radio 1 in 2009: House of Pain - Jump Around
  14. Well, let me be the first to say Happy New Year to all Unofficial Mills members!
  15. It's going to be interesting to see how they do Big Ben. They'll probably have some Radio 1 DJs doing a countdown followed by loud firework noises and cheering, and then straight back into more music.
  16. Is it completely pre-recorded? Or do they have people taking requests?
  17. Snow Patrol - Take Back The City Alphabeat - Fascination
  18. Well I'm in Vancouver, which we all know is a much better Canadian city! How many times has Toronto bid for the Olympics again? See you all in 2010!
  19. Whatever happened to Vicki Blight? Apparently she's doing some holiday cover over on XFM. I think she totally missed out on the Surgery, we wouldn't be in this mess if she had got the job.
  20. Well I think we can all agree that if either Moyles or Mills left Radio 1, but still wanted to stay in radio, they would land top jobs somewhere else. I think Mills would work on Capital, as much as I despise myself for saying that. Maybe he could return to good ol' Power FM and present Breakfast!
  21. You have to keep in mind that it seems Radio 1 is getting too old for the BBC's standards. And one of the ways to make things younger is to get rid of older presenters, namely Moyles, Mills, Whiley and Cox.
  22. Anyone have any predictions for 2009? Let's be serious here, please don't all post that Mills will take over breakfast. I think 2009 will mark the end of Moyles of breakfast though, I can see him moving to Capital or Absolute (for a disgusting amount of money) or only doing television. I also think Radio 1 will say goodbye to Jo Whiley, maybe even Edith Bowman.

If you remember when Scott did his Hollyoaks show from Manchester, he used that studio. Oh and yes, I can confirm that is Marc Radcliffe's studio. Marc and Lard also used it on the old R1 show.
  24. Hmm...the plot thickens...let's have another four pages of who may be joining the show!!! I say Georgina Bowman or Anna Lee takes over newsreading and Dom becomes an official co-host...
