  1. In no particular order, partially based on what I've listened to most (so say my Last.FM account): Deadmau5 - "Sofi Needs A Ladder" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kWIJL2f0ys KoRn - "Pop A Pill" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJmw7CAJGlQ Stone Temple Pilots - "Between The Lines" http://vimeo.com/11588637 Honourable mentioned to "Fuck You" by Cee-Lo Green, "Tenderoni" by Kele, and "You Make The Rain Fall" by Kevin Rudolf. Completely different bands for album of the year, though...
  2. Teenage me doesn't reflect Adult me. With clear hindsight, this was a stupid teenage joke formed through ignorance. I was an idiot and distance myself fully from it now.
  3. I don't see why moving on means not investing in a DJ on a fan level. Howard Stern moved all over the place but millions followed him wherever he went. Moyles will be the same, quite likely. That's one reason why he's going to be hard to replace; how many presenters in this country have that kind of influence?
  4. Someone can replace Moyles. They just won't be very good at it. I'm the same as Hawkeye - once Moyles is gone, so am I. Bar Zane, there's f*ck all of interest to me there.
  5. I haven't bothered with the visual element because it's not needed, but the audio has been top notch and that's the only thing that is important.
  6. "It's pronounced Aitch, not Haitch."
  7. Well Tina would have to end up somewhere, as well as Matt Fincham and the Essex girl. Maybe Aled too if he stayed. So there's enough people to form a new team with. I don't think that anyone other than Dave and Dom would leave with Chris, of the current team.
  8. It doesn't matter, initially. Whoever takes over directly post-Moyles won't last too long as the initial disappearance of listeners will force Radio 1 to move someone new in. Mills could be a caretaker presenter (ie., someone who knows they're taking over for a short time and then moving on themselves) whilst they prep someone new into the role. Long-term, Greg James is a radio guy and it'd make sense for him to get the spot, but I think it's too soon for him. I'd much rather let him swim on drive-time for a couple of years to continue finding his mainstream voice, and then move him into the role. An outside shot, but someone who should be considered a future prospect in the big slots, is Reggie Yates. He could be something really special in the daytime, particularly in the Fearne or Greg role. Vernon is talented, but I don't think he'd want to do it full-time. Fearne, no. Just, no. Sara Cox would be in Scott territory - short term placeholder until someone else is found. Grimshaw? Ugh. They could bring a completely new talent into the station, but that seems a little unfair. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a Jack Whitehall-type with a show in a few years. But not to replace Moyles. They're really in a pickle with Chris because he's so far and away better than everyone on the station at what he does and no one can touch it, which is going to create huge problems when he's gone because no one will have the balls to fight for the style of show he presents and all those listeners who enjoy that style are going to be left without.
  9. Kier and co. who were the main guys with vB3 all left/were fired when Internet Brands bought vB. The new people decided that they were going to reinvent everything, but kinda didn't - it was a mix of new code just written on top of the old code in a confusing and cluttered way, leaving out loads of features promised for vB4, and came out rushed because IB wanted to make profit immediately and figured they could release a half-arsed new forum software and then upgrade it gradually over time. But the improvements have been slow to non-existant, the code is buggy as hell, it's lost the look, feel and functionality of what it used to be, and Invision Pro and Xenforo (Kier and co.'s new software) have pretty much overtaken. The plus for vB4 is that, unlike the last UnofficialMills site using a vB plugin to power the front page, vB4 comes as a suite with a proper front page system that integrates with the forums. So in that regard, it's a positive.
  10. If you know everything about the history of vB4, you'll know that it's absolutely nothing like the Facebook changes.
  11. Long story short, vB3 (the last software) was built by people who knew what they were doing. Those people left/were fired and those who replaced them created vB4 which was full of flaws, badly designed and way too expensive.
  12. Can't tell if that's sarcastic or not. Libel - written defamation Slander - spoken defamation
  13. Got a job interview with a local commercial radio station next week
  14. It's been grey for ages. That part isn't bad. He does need a haircut, though.
  15. If you'd like me to draw a picture or a graph, just ask.
  16. Also, I didn't mean that it was funny as in "ahahaha, this song is total lols and totally relates to Chris off of the radio total LOL WTF BBQ!" It was more a "oh wow, really? This song? Just after Chris swerved discussion on his private life? Interesting choice..." smile which only occurs on my face when I find something funny.
  17. She's all laid up in bed with a broken heart While i'm drinking jack all alone in my local bar And we don't know how we got into this mad situation Only doing things out of frustration Yeah, you're right. I totally can't see anything related to Chris in there...
  18. Besides being a good song (I'm a Script fan, so sue me), the fact that Fearne played a song relating so strongly to the situation that Chris is clearly not willing to talk about was funny to me. If it was accidental, it's funny because of how apt it was. If it was on purpose, I'm amused that someone thought it was a good idea.
  19. Just noticed how amusing the first song that Fearne played out of the handover was. I don't think that was coincidental.
  20. It's clearly true, given Chris basically admitting as such in the first link (nothing happened this weekend so let's move on, or "I'm not talking about it, sorry" in short, which is fair enough to him). Shame, but it is his life and he must live it as he must.
