  1. I adore this. Especially the Deadmau5 version. He can do no wrong in my eyes.
  2. RIP Sir Norman. You spread a great deal of joy and laughter. Quite a legacy.
  3. I noticed yesterday on Twitter that the lovely Kathy Clugston has brought out a book. It seems fun. Ideal Christmas pressie stuff; especially for my partner, given its title. http://briefhistoryoftim.blogspot.com/
  4. Jeez The Daily Mail really are comically useless. Mystery woman/sports journalist on his show, who happens to have a boyfriend already? I suppose 'mystery woman' sounds more interesting. S*d doing anything important like research.
  5. I'm so looking forward to watching this bunch of deluded gits entertain us. Dance monkey dance! http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/series6/candidates.shtml Incidentally that Shibby character who is more interested in 'money' than 'mummy' is a trained surgeon. Thank f*ck he's decided to go into business instead, with that sort of attitude. I can see some serious locking of horns between some of the younger males. Can't wait. Will still miss Margaret's presence though. SAUSAGES!
  6. Back from south of France. Timsk and I had a fabulous holiday with family and friends. Superb weather, company, swimming, food etc. i Gonna bung a blog up, but no pics yet, my brother is no use at all at sending me stuff. I have a particualrly gruesome pic of one of my suppurating jellyfish stings for you to look forward to (only low point of holiday). Still very sore. Jellyfish are useless b*stards!
  7. I agree, but in the end it turned out to be a charming interview. Chris and the team handled Sir M with respect, and he fitted in very well. Excellent stories. Aled had to apologise at the end of the show for a couple of words that Sir M had used that might have offended people, but said he felt that they were in context, and therefore he wasn't interrupted. Quite right too. Didn't notice anthing out of the ordinary personally. Apart from: is one allowed to say 'didnt give a toss'? Only thing I can think of...
  8. This is OK. Nothing special really. I'd agree with both comments. I reckon Aled has been over-influencing the rest of the playlist team.
  9. What a lovely story. I'm so pleased you got to meet up with the Lord S of M. Of course he knows who you are! In my honest opininion, Madame Tussauds is a bit of a rip off. So, you've had a lucky escape there.
  10. Timsk and I are off to Menton, south of France for a week this Sunday. Will be meeting up with my Pop and bro. and friends. Taking bikini in the hope that it's warm enough to swim. Love swimming in the sea. Fingers crossed. Zut alors! Gonna watch my silly brother gamble in Monte Carlo too. Hehe. PS. Sorry to hear about au pairing Sigrid.
  11. Already tweeted you, but shall congratulate you again. It took me two goes. What rocks is that it's the weekend and Timsk and I are off to the south of France in a week-ish.
  12. Nice use of Holst's Jupiter The Bringer of Jollity [for a Friday] on IOBF today.
  13. Nice one James. I was pretty sure I'd heard it before somewhere. BARBARA WINDSOR! this evening. Very droll... Seems pretty popular.
  14. Why Do You Do This Capital Letter Thing? I'm Interested.
  15. Blues Brothers/Ray Charles reference. Here you go:
  16. I could be wrong, but I thought the playlist is originally made up of songs before they are actually released on sale. I agree though, it's awful how much is released that we don't hear on Radio 1's seriously limited playlist. Anyhow as to the song. It's pure crap, camp gay disco stuff. If it hadn't been 'Barbara Streisand', it would've been 'Judy Garland'. I think it's fun and would shake my tail feather to it. Wouldn't go so far as to buy it though. PS Sorry Tyler, but I do agree with Tom that you could probably have done a bit more with the duck puns. There must be masses. 'Water off a duck's back' etc.
  17. Many happy returns Mitchell. Hope you have some suitably good plans for today. Jeez. There certainly are a lot of Birthdays at the moment.........
  18. You been reading the Daily Mail again Alan? I do agree however, that he clearly would have been aware that this would mean the end of his contract. He probably wanted to terminate it, and why not do it in this way? I certainly wouldn't condemn him for it. On a lighter note, I'd like a pink or purple coloured Stig please. Maybe a female one? Not being sexist re. colours, just thought it'd be nice to see a purple helmet on Top Gear on Sundays!
  19. I've picked three. Scottcam was great fun, but I did feel increasingly sorry for him towards the end of the week though, with us bunch of weirdos (no offence and myself included) watching his every move. I could never cope with that BB style scenario. I enjoy the Ten hour takeover, because it's great to hear non-playlist stuff, and tunes from the past for a change. Yes I am ancient. The Live Lounge produces some amazing results. How many albums has it led to now? Sometimes you'll hear something absolutely outstanding, but on the other hand it can also be pretty amusing when the live performance is total crap. I like to hear artists being given the chance to prove how good they really are live, and also how imaginative they can be with their covers.
  20. Wasn't meant to be a joke. Maybe you'd care to check the spelling in the title of this thread.
  21. Don't quite see how Scott's love of John, Paul, George and Ringo would help him much in the jungle.
  22. Apart from the fact that Die Antwoord are hip hop artists from South Africa? I'm not particularly bothered either way by this song.
  23. aka Ben Collins. You fraud! Many happy returns Christian. Hope you are having a fun filled day.
  24. Vernon was only brought in to do the car talk with Jay Kay imo, Sara would've probably fallen asleep on him. I would like to have heard more about Jay Kay's music/private life, but shame, it seems he's not interested in discussing these topics. Oh well. Look forward to new album... Anyhow, I thoroughly enjoyed Sara in for Moyles. Thought she did a top job. Her and Dave make a great duo. Dom and Tina were a little quieter than usual. Good shows last week nonetheless. Aled was on great form. Bet he hasn't slept properly for 5 days, poor little thing. Get well by Monday Christopher!
  25. I absolutely adore this song. The Motown vibe, and Cee Lo Green's conviction and beautiful voice just make it for me. Even though I'm not huge fan of swearing, it does have its place. It f*cking works in this song. Great lyrics. The original version is much better than the watered down Radio 1 version, but even so I'm delighted to have it on the playlist. Incidentally Annie Mac said earlier that this was her favourite song of the year so far.
