i had noticed this aswell but assumed it was due to the Reading & Leeds promos instead. They should make a reappearence tomorrow i would think

as influencial as R1 can be i am confident that these songs would have been hits anyway

i thought he already had a Radio 2 show? i saw a listin the other day for Dave Pearces Disco Anthems, which did make me laugh slightly as it just sounded a toned down version of his popular dance anthems only this time time for R2!

I dont think the current VO's are too bad, ok they are not as good as the Scotsman and his female VO partner but i suppose they could be a lot worse. I do think the BBC is shoe horned in on the newsbeat imaging though, that is the only thing that still grates on me slightly when listening.

i beg your pardon!! I am just saying that for daytime promos they usually use the daytime VO's, however i have not heard the current female VO being used for any daytime promos and wondered if there was any particular reason behind it such as her not wanting to do any more voice work for R1 etc.

has the current female VO (Holly) either been sacked or just cant be arsed to do any other work for R1 as all the promos now seem to be voiced either by random people (Greg James' Summer Tour) or the INMWT female (What do you think about Radio 1 & Creamfields) or is this just because Creamfields is a INMWT event? I know she does the main bulk of imaging e.g. BBC Radio 1, Listen again to all of R1, Radio 1 Podcasts, Digital, FM, Online etc but i am assuming these were all recorded months ago before she was actualy put on air

i think too, that both jo and edith actually had very little input regarding their changes if they wanted to stay at the station at all. I also think it was time for a shake up (augusta92, 2 posts up) however i am not entirely convinced that Fearne will be able to keep up the weekday slot, however i am assuming that the BBC has mentioned to her that she will will need to present a percentage of her shows to keep the slot (assuming there is some sort of clause). If you remember how aqful she was at button pressing when she started it is quite suprising how she has risen so fast into the daytime schedule, but who else could have taken over?

I think Greg is still doing Movies on his new weekday show aswell as gaming stuff. Thank heavens Nihal is going, Jo will be a much better fit. Although it will be very odd hearing both Jo and Edith on weekends. I will keep waking up on a Sunday and thinking it is an afternoon weekday!!

i am definitely getting used to this now. Although i still cant quite get used to the BBC bit on Newsbeat, it does still sound slightly shoe horned! The sweepers and 1tros sound OK though.

this sounds very good. i quite like watching this programme as it always suprises me how the celebs react to hearing such news! Is this what Chris has been talking about on his show with the mysterious absence on Monday etc?

he just irritates me, so i dont bother listening to it, a lot of peopl ei have spoken to have said the same thing. He is just so annoying, he does have a good show once in a while, when i catch it, but i find the majority are just useless.

Any chance there can be a bit more effort go in to making the mixes on Floorfillers? They used to sound really good but now are just ordinary FX Idents that get used.

Again! What is the point of Vernon at the moment he only does one show a week and cant even turn in for that! I know he has his TV career aswell but surely 3 hours a week can be fitted in somewhere!

Rubbish evryone seems to be ripping me today, then i get caught in the middle of a feud between two people in which i can do absolutely nothing - yet they still insist on getting angry at ME, not each other, no, that would resolve the matter too quickly, but ME, as per bloody usual.
