The tweets are so unbelievably ill-informed that it's got to be an attempt at irony, no? If it's not, I'm sure they won't be around for long as what they're aiming at certain celebs is definitely slanderous (possibly even libelous) and could easily result in a defamation of character court case.

For everyone supporting me in this (even just with a thought or comment), you have my thanks. The 'tache is already fully grown - in just a week and a half! It has a lot of grey mixed in, but people have told me it looks distinguished - so that kind up makes up for the itching / scratching and general ridiculousness of the whole thing... Times are hard for all of us, but it's one of the things I admire most about the British public - the general willingness to give a thought (or a spare pound or two) to those who are in a less fortunate position than themselves. 1 in 10 men will suffer from prostate cancer, so it's quite possible a brother, father or male friend will be afflicted at some point later in their lives, and it's a tiny thing for me to do to look more daft than normal for a month to get people commenting and to raise awareness a tiny bit. I'll be posting a picture at some point, you have been warned! EDIT: Thanks for the donation Helen - much appreciated.

So was this guy who didn't declare his criminal record kicked off the show? I didn't find it clear from what I heard earlier today...

I remember, I was at work when I got a text from a friend just saying 'plane crashed into Twin Towers, something crazy going on over there'. Tried looking on the usual news websites, but all were pretty much crashed by the weight of traffic from other people trying to find out what was happening. My brother-in-law had cause to go there occasionally with his work, so checked to make sure he was ok and he gave loads more detail from colleagues actually at the scene. It was a very memorable event, and I'm sorry to say somehow was even more shocking to me than the London bombings years later. 9/11 is my 'JFK' moment, one I'll never forget. Can't remember where I was when the Berlin Wall came down though. Probably in the pub.

Clarkson gave an interview to 'Witney TV' (what appears to be a local rag for David Cameron's constituency) saying he thought Collins' motivation was indeed greed and that he was hurt by his decision. The interview is on the WitneyTV site here at approx 26:30 (link via @MediaGuardian)

I think it's a shame Stig's been outed, there was a good reason to keep the driver the same for all the track testing. If he chose to do it himself then fair enough - maybe he'd just had enough; I just hope he wasn't pushed into it by his management/agent who were only seeing the short-term $$$ from increased book sales. Guess we'll be seeing another colour Stig soon then. Blue?

Oh Viv. It's clearly more of a term of endearment from someone that obviously likes and admires Aled... I enjoyed both Vernon (surprisingly as he is more suited to weekends) and Sara for the change - I find Moyles can get a bit 'samey' in his content and delivery, so a refreshing change.
