Emil Franchi opened Weekend Breakfast with a story about his temporary living situation, revealing that while putting his pants away in an Airbnb bedside drawer the night before, he found "protective equipment for fun times" left behind by a previous guest. He joked that if he ever ends up on Graham Norton's sofa, "Ryan Gosling is going to love that tale about my Airbnb drawer."

A listener called Rob later sent in a cheeky confession, admitting he'd spent weeks thinking Radio 1 weekend mornings were hosted by Paddy McGuinness until his wife corrected him. Emil took it in good humour, pointing out that McGuinness is "on the other side" on Radio 2, and only on Sundays, before telling Rob, "I'll let you off."
The show's "defining role" chat, sparked by SNL's Anya Maglalang revealing she once played a caterpillar dressed as peas in a pod, got listeners reminiscing about their own school stage disasters. Emil admitted his own defining role was playing Ryan from High School Musical, complete with four costume changes, while listeners shared memories of playing a flower, a sheep with a squeaky nose, and even "Mince Pie number seven" in a nativity.
Weekend Breakfast Bingo saw several listeners claim full houses by combining a hot drink, a made bed, travel for sport, and a Somerset connection. For the "Who We're Backing This Weekend" feature, Emil settled on supporting British skydivers competing at the World Championships in Arizona after a listener called Mrs Peay nominated them, saying "they flipping deserve it."
