Have you heard the news? Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2008 is coming from Mote Park, Maidstone, as rumoured on our forums.
The event will take place on the weekend of the 10th and 11th May 2008, and is Europe’s biggest free music festival.
Radio 1 have also just announced there’ll be a four stage devoted purely to new and upcoming bands – the ‘BBC Introducing’ stage.
There’ll be 20,000 tickets available – however – most will go to those living in Maidstone and the surrounding areas, and Radio 1 will be selecting ticket winners based on the postcode.
You can expect live coverage on Radio 1, on the red button on your telly, and online. Stick with Unofficial Mills over the next few months as we’ll be bringing you all the news on this page and on the forum.
