If you only catch up on one bit of Saturday radio drama this week, make it this.
Joanne had spent eleven weeks ruthlessly bumping off contenders in Couch Potatoes – including, infamously, her own sister Denny – to reach the Hall of Fame decider. Rylan set up the showdown by revealing her final opponent was Denny herself, back for payback. Both sailed through nine questions apiece before it came down to a nail-biting year question each. Denny nailed hers (Beverly Hills Cop, 1985) while Joanne’s answer was wrong, handing Denny the crown. “Blood is thicker than Couch Potatoes,” Joanne had joked earlier – turns out it wasn’t. Rylan called it a fitting ending: “It’s almost like exactly how it should have gone.”
Elsewhere, Professor Green popped in to mark 15 years of At Your Inconvenience with a December tour, then let slip some fresh 2026 dates starting in Liverpool before quickly admitting, “I don’t even know if I was meant to tell you.” He also brought in burgers from his new food venture, which Rylan happily demolished live on air, plus a game of “is my AI lying” and a spirited karaoke duet on Monster.
Rylan also teased Sunday night’s ABBA versus Bee Gees concert from Malta with the BBC Concert Orchestra, calling it “one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen,” and flagged two gala ABBA Voyage nights for Children in Need with Vernon Kay hosting.
