Live from Glasgow
Scott presented from Glasgow and used the outside broadcast to hear from listeners across the city.
The programme included local travel, food and cultural references alongside the normal quiz and Birthday Game.
Romesh Ranganathan
Romesh Ranganathan joined Scott live in Glasgow.
He discussed stand-up touring and the difference between performing to audiences across the UK while adjusting material to each room.
The conversation covered television, family and the way Romesh’s on-screen irritation had become part of his public persona.
Scott asked how much of that grumpiness was genuine and how much had developed because audiences enjoyed seeing it.
Romesh reflected on travel programmes and the irony of being sent around the world while frequently appearing reluctant to enjoy the experience.
He also discussed live comedy and the discipline of testing material repeatedly until every pause and interruption served the joke.
Regular features
The Easiest Quiz and Birthday Game were presented from Glasgow, giving the normal features a local outside-broadcast atmosphere.
17 July 2025: the handover
