How old is your face?
Scott tested a website claiming to estimate a person’s “face age” from a photograph.
His first picture was taken at around 6am and produced a face age of 56, an eye age of 36 and an eye-bag score of 56.
After showering, shaving and drinking coffee, Scott tried again despite the site advising against repeat tests.
The second attempt reduced his face age to 45 while leaving the eye result unchanged.
Vernon and Maddie take the test
Vernon Kay also completed the test and received a face age of 45 and an eye age of 38.
Scott pointed out that Vernon had once worked as a model and enjoyed the fact that their scores were so close.
Maddie from The Traitors called after receiving a face age of 34 despite being 30.
She blamed the result on a poor night’s sleep and said she would ignore it.
Scott asked whether she would return for the second series of The Traitors. Maddie said the programme would immediately know she was a Faithful and admitted that her anxiety might make another appearance difficult.
The Birthday Game: Jo
Jo celebrated her 50th birthday in Lyon before seeing Depeche Mode for the 51st time.
She had followed the band for 37 years and was also planning concerts in Dublin, Budapest, Prague, Warsaw and Kraków.
Jo wanted alternative 1980s music or 1990s indie.
Her first spin was Crazy Frog’s Axel F. She rejected it immediately.
The second was Boney M’s Rivers of Babylon, the UK’s biggest-selling single of 1978. Jo gambled again.
Her compulsory final song was The Police’s Every Breath You Take, number one in 1983.
Jo accepted it as an appropriate 1980s result, although one of her Depeche Mode friends disliked The Police.
Scott also reminded listeners that the song’s obsessive lyrics made it a questionable choice for wedding first dances.
The Music Police prepares for Adam Lambert
Scott reviewed Ella Henderson’s recently solved case, Paula Cole’s Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?
He announced that Adam Lambert would temporarily join the Music Police the following week.
Listeners were invited to send difficult fragments for Adam to investigate, even though Scott suspected some fans might invent earworms simply to have their voices played to him.
