18 October 2018: HRVY played 10 Seconds To as Emily heard her conception story

Radio 1 claimed HRVY

HRVY returned ahead of the Teen Awards.

Scott and Chris had known him since his first appearances on Radio 1 and were extremely pleased with his growing success.

Scott became possessive when another radio station appeared to be taking credit for supporting him.

As far as Scott was concerned, Radio 1 had receipts.

HRVY had been on the programme early.

He had played games.

Listeners had followed the career developing.

Scott jokingly treated any rival claim as fake news.

10 Seconds To forced instant answers

HRVY played 10 Seconds To, the game where the guest had only a few seconds to say whatever first came into his head.

The format worked because there was no time to construct a polished celebrity answer.

Questions could move quickly between music, relationships, fame and completely stupid subjects.

Scott occasionally became overexcited and answered almost as much as the guest.

HRVY remained good-humoured while the pair attempted to prove they knew him better than everybody else.

Chris watched The Apprentice differently

Chris also shared the theories he had developed while watching *The Apprentice*.

Rather than simply following the business task, he had started noticing the production patterns and contestant behaviour which appeared every year.

Scott was less interested in business strategy than the overconfident language candidates used while trying to impress Lord Sugar.

The programme remained one of their favourite places to find people saying something ridiculous with complete certainty.

Emily entered Where Do You Think They Were?

The latest birthday victim was Emily.

Her reward was the giant Radio 1 birthday montage.

The price was hearing her mum explain the circumstances of her conception.

The reconstruction involved a very 1990s domestic setting and increasingly specific details Emily had never requested from a parent.

Scott and Chris once again discovered that the feature became worse, and therefore better radio, whenever the parent was unusually willing to talk.

Emily survived.

The birthday message finally arrived.

As with Dylan the previous week, the show had successfully turned information most families deliberately leave vague into a national entertainment format.
