Georgie had been cancelled on twice
Ghostbusters returned to help another listener who had been left without an explanation.
Georgie from Bristol had been messaging a man from a dating app for a week or two and thought they were getting on well. They shared interests, talked regularly and eventually arranged to meet.
Their first date was cancelled because he said he had to work late. Georgie accepted that people genuinely got stuck at work and agreed to rearrange.
For the second attempt she got ready after work, only to discover that he had apparently forgotten the date and was at a gig in Cardiff.
After that, the conversation faded away.
The ghost actually answered
Scott and Chris called the man while Georgie listened.
He remembered who she was, but his explanation for the two failed dates was considerably less definite than Georgie might have hoped. He suggested there had been confusion over what had actually been arranged and did not seem to remember the plans with anything like the certainty Georgie did.
She was finally able to ask him directly why he had disappeared.
The call became one of the more uncomfortable Ghostbusters conversations, with listeners immediately reporting large amounts of second-hand embarrassment.
There was some discussion of whether they might ever try meeting again, but Georgie was understandably less enthusiastic after hearing his version of events.
Sigrid compared Norwegian and British Christmas
Sigrid also visited the show. Chris had previously met her in Norway while filming one of his extreme-festival films, including a trip up a mountain.
This time the conversation turned to Christmas.
Sigrid described Norwegian traditions involving snowy cabins and families walking around the Christmas tree holding hands and singing.
Scott and Chris compared that with British habits including crackers and pigs in blankets, giving Sigrid another reminder that Christmas traditions which seemed completely normal in one country could sound peculiar somewhere else.
