Scott discovered Doodle
Planning the team Christmas party had become unnecessarily stressful because nobody was available on the same dates.
The others introduced Scott to Doodle, where everyone could tick the dates they were free and let the poll identify the best option.
Scott reacted as though the team had shown him advanced technology.
Everyone else had already completed the poll.
He was the final obstacle.
The eventual result pointed towards 6 December, although Chris immediately predicted Scott would find some last-minute appearance or interview that forced him to cancel.
They also remembered the previous year, when Scott had been forced to bring his dad to the team Christmas meal and then accidentally mangled the words “duck liver pâté” into something far ruder while ordering.
Anne-Marie gave instant opinions
Anne-Marie came in after her Live Lounge performance and agreed to a Big Shaq-style game where Scott and Chris simply threw subjects at her.
Asked about the more extreme eating trials on I’m a Celebrity, she said she might cope with the physical challenges but was far less enthusiastic about putting animal parts in her mouth.
She then realised being vegetarian might offer a useful escape from some of those tasks.
Ghosters were mugs
Anne-Marie had an equally clear view on ghosting.
If somebody was no longer interested, she thought they should simply say so.
People would get over rejection, she argued; disappearing without explanation only created confusion.
She admitted she had once advised a friend to gradually reduce contact with somebody, which Scott and Chris identified as a kind of slow-motion ghosting.
Her verdict on people who disappeared completely was more direct: “absolute mugs”.
Anne-Marie also heard an old clip of herself at school and was horrified by how strongly her teenage accent came through.
