Bronze felt complicated
Scott and Chris returned from the Audio and Radio Industry Awards with bronze for their 24-hour LOLathon.
They debated whether bronze should be treated as an achievement or simply evidence that two other entries had beaten them.
Scott had also hosted the ceremony, which made smiling through the result slightly more awkward.
Despite not winning a physical trophy, they had somehow returned with one.
A major radio presenter had left an award in the bar, so Scott and Chris had temporarily “acquired” it and wondered how long it would be before the rightful owner asked for it back.
The breathalyser went to the awards
Chris had taken the show’s inexpensive breathalyser to Leeds and tested radio personalities as the night continued.
The readings were inconsistent enough for Scott to question whether the people or the machine were responsible.
Nevertheless, they immediately decided the breathalyser should become standard equipment at future awards ceremonies.
Kem played You Shall Not Pass
Kem from Love Island arrived to try an old Scott Mills challenge.
He had to enter a lift at Radio 1, ride from the eighth floor to the bottom and back again, and prevent anybody else from joining him.
Physical blocking was not allowed.
Instead, Kem had to invent excuses every time the doors opened — anything from claiming the lift was only for famous people to warning would-be passengers that somebody had farted.
The object was simply to complete the journey without sharing the lift.
The programme also made room for Taylor Swift’s newly released “Gorgeous”, which Scott treated as a pop emergency.
