Scott’s snake punishment continued
With Chris away filming near the Arctic Circle, Scott leaned into the previous day’s Saturday Kitchen row by adding snake noises to his jingles. Listeners were still sending snake emojis after Chris accused him of being sneaky for accepting the appearance without mentioning it.
Chris checked in from Norway after an exhausting journey involving multiple flights and increasingly tiny aircraft. He was heading towards the edge of the Arctic Circle for another extreme-festival film and remained very much committed to calling Scott a snake from afar.
Ella learned something unexpected about her bosses
A discussion about messages sent to the wrong person brought in listener Ella. Her bosses were a married couple and the husband had accidentally sent Ella messages intended for his wife. They were arranging a get-together with another woman and the messages made it very clear that the couple were rather more adventurous than Ella had ever realised.
Her boss quickly noticed the mistake and told her the messages had been intended for his wife. Ella, naturally, had already told her friends. She said seeing him at work was now awkward because she could not help thinking about what she had accidentally learned about their private life.
Jordan North joined Real or No Real
New Radio 1 DJ Jordan North joined Scott for Real or No Real. Among the claims was a story involving Justin Bieber and Vicks, which turned out to be exaggerated: Bieber had said he had covered his nose in the stuff while feeling ill, but had not actually managed to get a Vicks stick stuck up it.
The show also revived Library Tennis, where contestants sit at opposite ends of a library and try to out-grunt one another without attracting too much attention.
