Louise prepared for another soaking

Louise Pentland returned to Innuendo Bingo, no longer using the Sprinkle of Glitter name but still willing to revisit the game that had previously caused trouble with a contact lens.

She arrived in an improvised waterproof outfit and said her boyfriend had made her practise spitting water that morning.

The clips ranged from election reporting about how “tight” Florida was to an enormous box used during Lorde’s Glastonbury set and a desert sandstorm engulfing everything in its path.

Was “moist” really so bad?

Scott examined research suggesting that about 18 per cent of American English speakers disliked the word “moist”.

Chris argued that “moist” remained indispensable for describing well-cooked chicken. Alternatives such as wet, soggy, seeping or leaking all sounded much worse.

Saturday was for the Speedos

The show tracked down the anonymous man whom Dave Grohl had noticed during Foo Fighters’ Glastonbury set.

He explained that a group of 12 friends had spent Saturday wearing Speedos and competing to create the weekend’s best story. Two friends lifted him high above the crowd, and in the excitement his Speedos came down.

Dave Grohl’s on-stage acknowledgement transformed the stunt into the clear winner. The man wanted to remain anonymous but dedicated “My Hero” back to Foo Fighters.
