4 October 2016: Yasmin Evans is broken by Innuendo Bingo

Freshers’ flu meets a blender

Chris tries to repair his fading voice after the freshers tour by buying kale, cucumber, celery, apples and limes. The blender has returned from beneath the sink, although Scott doubts that one virtuous morning will reverse the previous week.

They also remain fascinated by Britney Spears’s British television appearances. Her visit to Loose Women produces a personalised mug and the question of whether its presenters really are “loose women”, extending Chris’s renewed interest after meeting her the previous week.

Yasmin enters the wet area

Ahead of 1Xtra Live in Liverpool, Yasmin Evans joins Chris for her first Innuendo Bingo. She arrives in an ill-fitting animal onesie, warns that she is naturally quite spitty and immediately struggles with a Radio 2 discussion about the British Cox apple.

Further clips cover hard butter, recognisable golf balls, the silver maker Wang Hing and a Radio 4 musical explanation involving the key of D. Yasmin’s delayed reactions make the game unpredictable, and by the closing item she is apologising to Chris while laughing uncontrollably.

A giant feature in Dorking

The final clip comes from a BBC Radio Kent phone-in about favourite roundabouts. A listener recommends Dorking’s famous roundabout featuring a giant cockerel, ending any chance of Yasmin recovering her composure.

Cake-maker Hannah later judges Bangers. She is tired of making Frozen cakes but still enjoys elaborate Disney and wedding designs, then selects Ed Sheeran over Plan B to give Scott a second consecutive win.
