Bash Croft dropped by Going Home to talk Celebrity Traitors (carefully avoiding spoilers) and promote his new track Pretty People, which he debuted live on air. The best fun came with a round of Two Truths and a Lie, where Bash claimed he had a secret handshake with Olivia Dean, that Joel Dommett features in his new music video, and that he'd taken Olivia Rodrigo to McDonald's. Katie Thistleton and Emil Franchi, plus listeners, were split on which was false, but it turned out the handshake was the lie. "I've actually never met her," Bash admitted, having invented a nickname, 'Dino', and a full routine on the spot. The McDonald's story was true, and he described taking Rodrigo for a post-gig Maccies in Leicester Square where, remarkably, nobody recognised her.
Vick Hope was missing from the show, with Katie and Emil running things solo and confirming Vick would be back the next day. Elsewhere, Complete the Year saw caller Darren from Abergavenny attempt 2021 and make it all the way to October before being undone by a question about giant earthworms, a big improvement on the previous week's attempt which stalled in February. Emil and Jack Saunders also filled in mock "Mr England" application forms, poking fun at the fact only seven men have entered the real competition so far, with Jack declaring, deadpan, "I am Mr England."
The show also teased WWE star John Cena joining the programme next week for a kids' question special.
