The rehearsal that never happened
Listeners demand an update from Steph after Friday’s promise to rehearse her Halloween costume alone. She happily returns, only to admit that a night out on Friday led to her sleeping through almost all of Saturday.
The outfit was never tested and no party conditions were recreated. Steph regards the sleep as lovely rather than a failure, while Scott and Chris enjoy how completely the detailed plan collapsed once an ordinary weekend intervened.
Judge Rinder becomes Fred Flintstone
Judge Rinder reports back from movie week on Strictly Come Dancing, where he performed as Fred Flintstone. The wig made him almost unrecognisable and the routine included an ambitious lift with Oksana Platero.
He felt exhausted after waiting until late in the show and worried himself out of much of his energy before dancing. Scott and Chris nevertheless consider it his best performance so far, and Rinder continues to treat the programme as the show’s unofficial Strictly correspondent.
Nobody knows anybody’s name
The X Factor judges struggle with their own contestants. Sharon Osbourne calls Bratavio “Bellario”, while Louis Walsh needs help remembering Saara Aalto. Scott suspects Simon Cowell is quietly asking for a name to be written down before the decision.
Elsewhere, a video of Scott slapping Chris’s bottom in rhythm becomes “Bongo Bum Buddies”. Their synchronised movement makes little sense outside its original moment, which is precisely why they expect the clip to become even stranger with age.
