Beccy found a celebrity handshake for sale

Beccy’s Classifieds produced a seller offering the chance to shake a hand which had previously shaken Britney Spears’ hand. The supposed value depended on the chain of contact being preserved, complete with the claim that the hand had not been washed since the celebrity encounter.

Shaggy faced an arm-wrestling test

The programme also put Shaggy through a deliberately unscientific strength test against women from around the Radio 1 office. As usual, the fun was less about proving anything than about treating an absurd premise with the seriousness of a sporting event.

A stylish lollipop lady became a television format

Scott had spotted a lollipop lady wearing stilettos and immediately decided the image deserved more attention. The discussion escalated into ideas for Hot Lollipop Ladies and then Celebrity Lollipop Lady, with Pamela Anderson jokingly suggested as the sort of name who could take part. A passing street sighting had become a fully developed imaginary entertainment franchise by the end of the show.
