The Lord Scott Mills is finally back… and so is college, so stick with me over the next few weeks as I juggle the reviews and try to find some extra help with the reviews!
So the destination for Scott’s holiday was Sri Lanka, and again he went with Laura and his flatmate. Highlights of Sri Lanka included an elephant ride together which brought back many memories of the horse incident. Scott reassured listeners it was more exciting than it sounds, and Laura did get photographs – but nothing suitable for the website. Scott also managed to all most get Laura arrested at Gatwick when he informed Laura she could take back as many cigarettes as she wanted. She had 6,000 in many bags, but soon realised the limit was 200 when officers started searching her suitcases and everything.
Chappers: “Were you probed?”
Laura: “No!”
Chappers: “Scott stay quiet”
Meanwhile whilst on the Emirates Flight, the captain informed passengers about the flight. Laura, being the legend she is, presumed it was an ‘Emma Ritz’ flight, and thought they were linked to the biscuit company. She thought they also said ‘super minute’ instead of 1 to 2 minutes when informing passengers of the landing time. But she reassures us she’s not turned stupid over the two weeks. She got a very high IQ on Test The Nation on BBC One this weekend.
She also made a friend for life with a Sri Lankan bloke, who she will keep in touch with, and he promises to send her tea. Oh, and on the surgery front, Scott’s had nothing new done to himself since last time he was on the air.

Remember the catchphrase ‘eh dirty boy’ and how it stormed the world? Well now it seems ‘you ate the food, you drank the right thing…’ is gripping the nation too, following the Darren and Joanna saga last month. ‘You ate the food, you drank the right thing, we did the right thing’ featured in a Paris guest book in a hotel. Could this be the new catchphrase craze?

And of course today the news that Steve Irwin has been killed by a string-ray gripped the nation. He’s been described as the Diana of Australlia by some. None were more gutted than Scott’s flatmate. He e-mailed Scott about his bizzare plans to devote his evening to Steve’s tribute. He considered a themed-evening or a walk about involving inflatables.
There was more tickets to giveaway for The Killers in Blackpool, featuring a roulette style game… I won’t explain it, you’ll have heard it.
Scott was back and sounding great. I’m not going to give opinions for the first few shows; I think he needs a few days on the air before I start getting opinionated! And now, a silence in respect of Steve Irwin…
