Scott and Laura are still suffering from the silent but deadly farts, he dreamt about Paul Daniels, and Laura dreamt about Sara Cox. Scott meanwhile thinks everyone hates him. Must be the paranoid stage… although Laura argues that’s just normal.
Six Weeks of Summer
This week on the Six Weeks of Summer JK and Joel are off on an adventure holiday in Anglesey, Wales. The activities will be like rafting and rock climbing. Nothing too dodgy… they hope! Meanwhile, the Zane Lowe Album Amnesty is back on again this year. Scott wants to giveaway his Wedding Disco CD. It’s got some good classics on there.
Bathroom valets
The phenomenon now gripping the nation is having a bathroom valet in the pub that waits in the toilets, sprays you with a bit of aftershave, and uses the toilet dispenser for you. Laura was on today in a pub toilet in London where usually there’s no bathroom valet. Her OCD was going all mental as there was urine all over the floor. The usual suspects in the pub are all old people who have been there with nothing else to do. They’re not quite used to having a bathroom valet, but could she get away with setting up shop in the bathroom? Not one used to the urinals in a men’s toilet, she didn’t understand what the stones in them did. Armed with styling gel, lolly pops, old spice, hair spray and a tin for her money, her first customer soon arrived. The guy seemed a bit confused by it all, and ran and hid in a cubical. She tried to have a conversation with him whilst in the loo, asking if he’d seen the football. Something Scott still can’t manage to do today. He didn’t take anything and didn’t give any money. Sadly the man disliked the service, and obviously went off to complain. Moments later the manager swung the door open and came in to kick Laura out. The fourth pub she’s been chucked out of recently!
Backdoor Love
Remember the song off of September from last year? Amy was on today, discussing Backdoor Love by Eric Mount. Scott promised to make him big, and he’s keeping to that promise. Backdoor Love has become a favourite of people like Elton John. For the time being Eric Mount is performing for the old people (g’mornin’), but hopes to have some new material out soon.
A difficult breakup
Elsewhere today Claire got in touch with Scott. She had just been dumped by her boyfriend after it turns out he was actually gay. It was making sense to her as he was playing lots of gay CDs and having lots of camp mannerisms. But she hadn’t noticed this before. Another typical ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ scenarios, but she wasn’t convinced by it all. He hadn’t mentioned liking boys before and even seemed quite phobic towards them. Has he made this up? Why didn’t he keep her as a best friend to go shopping with? Unfortunately for Claire it’s a common case. We’ll see how the story develops later this week…
