Well it's been a long week for the show, and finally it's Friday, and the show has reached Glasgow.
One Night With Laura
Last night Scott and the crew were in Newcastle. No bed of nails, but some very funny guys. There was one guy who thought Laura sounded 'sensible' – wrong audition perhaps? Mary soon got in to the role of Chappers, but it wasn't long before she was flirting with some of them! We'll find out in a week who wins the competition – with each winner spending a day on the breakfast show. They'd started off and gone through all of them last night, but hadn't put any of them through. Also Scott and Laura fell out over one guy that Laura really liked that didn't make it through.
The first guy we heard from is big Norm, who played Name That Tune with his ears and head. The first tune Norm played was Eastenders, then the second was Chico (much to the delight of Barney) and the third was Match of the Day.

One of the ONWL mini-site team members was told off for smoking outside today. Scott is worried if he smokes he'll get arrested because of the smoking ban in Scotland. Chappers said you can only smoke in the garden shed.
Also on the show
People have claimed James off of Southampton looks like a fat Neil Morrissey (which Laura loves). Tuesday we met Gareth in Cardiff, some claim could be the new Pete Doherty. And on Wednesday in Nottingham we met Ben with his lovely blue accordion and on Thursday… we didn't find any finalists. By the end of that link Chappers had apologised for calling James fat as he realised he had to meet him.
We then met Paul. This is the guy that Laura and Scott fell out over. Scott didn't want to put him through, whereas Laura quite liked him. Laura's Dad wasn't that impressed that he said he could open a door – Paul tried to make him out to be a charmer, but it didn't sound that way. Paul, live from Newcastle, was trying to break a record. He was trying to eat three crackers with in 49.1 seconds. So off he went, leaving radio listeners a bit confused. By the end of the audition there was crackers everywhere.
Next it was Max. He really didn't care about being there or winning. His mates put him up to do this and he didn't really find Laura attractive. Not really doing himself any justice.
And the winner of today's auditions? No one… Congratulations to the judging panel, they must be chuffed
