26 September 2005: Random Acts of Kindness, Flirt Divert and Chris Moyles

Well it's Monday once more, and it's the final afternoon show review for a while. Because next week Scott and team will be up at the crack of dawn as they step in for Chris Moyles. Looks like Spoony will be presenting the afternoon slot. This week the lovely Laura is away relaxing, so it might be a bit quiet…

Edith Bowman has accused Chappers of wearing a fake tan – now Chappers knows how it feels to be accused of having a fake tan (see last week's reviews concerning his recent outburst). Meanwhile Scott now has a loyalty card to a quick tanning company after a trip with Laura to York last week.

I don't think I could steal a trampette from them… could you?

Last weekend Chappers was in Derry. Their act includes a trampette, but there's been a very serious crime. The trampette from the Chappers and Dave World Tour was stolen. Chappers is not happy. Unofficial Mills would like to make it clear that neither Jono nor its visitors were involved in this, despite having the motivation. Scott gave the Crimewatch officers a call – he wanted to scrap the idea of the armed robbers, and get an investigation into the missing trampette aired. The friendly advisor at Crimewatch suggested he should get in touch with the local police before they can do a reconstruction or get involved.

McFly returned to help out Shannon…

Random Acts of Kindness

Remember Shannon? She was the subject of a Random Act of Kindness way back in March. She's 7, and was diagnosed with a brain tumour in Christmas and it was cancerous. She is going through a lot of chemotherapy, and has lost a lot of weight, and obviously hair loss. But she's been a fighter and goes to school and tries to live a normal life. Back in March, Paul her godfather rang Scott and told him about how much she likes Mcfly and they arranged for her to meet them. Anyway, Scott made a promise with Shannon and thought it was time for him to go ahead with that promise. Scott gave Shannon a call and she was sent a McFly CD. Tom off of McFly was on the phone, and invited Shannon to see them on tour and go backstage. Shannon of course was ecstatic by the whole idea. Hopefully we'll hear from her again in the not so distant future…

Scott has a rule about not ringing celebrities at the weekend, but gave Charlotte a call this afternoon. Today Charlotte was at her nana's who was cooking her some tea. She refused to allow Scott to speak to her nana, but so far the phone's been running for 5 days! Looks like she even managed to keep the phone during her boozy nights out.

Record of the Week

This week's record of the week is 'I'm in love' by Audiobullys. In my opinion it's another naff song for Record of the Week, but I'm sure it'll grow on some people.

Your choose the music – 81199 by text or 08700 100 100 by phone.

Tonight you could choose anything you wanted in Your Call apart from 'Happy Xmas (War is Over)' by The (Pop) Idols. It stinks, and it's rubbish! Tracks tonight included Daniel Powter, 50 Cent, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5 and Idlewild. Talk on the phone tonight included the missing trampette which has apparently turned up on ebay. Click here to see the auction. Tonight's Most Wanted was 'Fix You' from Coldplay.

Scott would like to clear up the fact that the other night he kissed a Coventry chav, so sorry to the person who had a £20 bet with their friend…

It's only for ugly people – according to the controversial Mr Chapman…

Flirt Divert

Flirt Divert UK – 0777 459 875 0

It was Monday, so there was more Flirt Divert tonight. First on the answer-phone was one girl who seemed up for anything – and rather patient, but not as patient as the second lady who had been waiting for someone for a sum total for three hours. Would you wait three hours for someone to turn up? Three hours is certainly a ridiculous amount of time to wait. Gemma wanted to speak to Dave, she'd seen him going to the house, and he's 'still alive' and wanted to know why he's not returned her calls – 'I really like you…' Someone suggested it was there English teacher. And finally, some guy who was waiting for someone with no electricity or heating. Cruel, but rather funny too… Could it be a plumber?

Scott: “Some of my best friends are plumbers… g’mornin”

Today's listener is Alex from Brighton. Last week's listener – Lucy – got a very big goooood mornin'.

Meanwhile…

Good show tonight – You've got 24 hours before the next Mills show, so why not check out the Unofficial Mills message board. Right now we want to know who Chappers should work with next week – Spoony or Scott, and there's talk of the missing trampette. Don't forget to register and join us…
