3 August 2005: I want to break free, The On Hold Game and Rate Him Happy

How doooo Sarah! It's Wednesday and after a night at a carnival, I'm here to bring you the lowdown on the show I wasn't around to hear live.

I apologise that this review may not be up to original review standard but due to hackers we had to repost the reviews and I only had half of this…

Celebrity Belts?

Scott received lots of texts about Big Brother last night – Craig's a nutter, and Kinga is an attention seeker. Heat magazine got it right this week about what everyone's talking about – cringey Craig off of Big Brother. Yes that's right, sadly no talk about celebrity belts.

I want to break free

Scott went to the pub last night and walked in just as the answers to a pub quiz were given out. According to Scott they don't give out the questions with the answers but the answer to Question 27 was 'Queen and Jeremy Clarkson'. Scott asked for some suggestions as to what the question was. There were lots of silly and strange suggestions for this, but one caller suggested 'According to Top Gear what is the ultimate driving song and for a bonus point who presents the show'. But then again there are three of them. The end result was 'who performs the ultimate driving song and who announced it'. Now we're all feeling a little clearer…

The On Hold Game

The 'on hold' game was back today. One company has been suggested more than any other companies via e-mail, and this company has wasted many people's time and money. Basically Scott rings a company, has a chat and puts them on hold as Chappers pretends to be the automated voice, playing some great music and today Laura was in on the fun too. Today the Mills team rang a cable company with some keyboard demos. After about 4 and a half minutes the guy eventually put the phone down.

Record of the Week

There's more debate about Imogen Heap's song than the Crazy Frog tune, and Jo Whiley claims it's a 'marmite' song – you either love it or hate it. Personally, I love it. And I think you will too (turns off the scary Linda Barker voice). Chappers was watching UK Gold last night (does he not realise it's UKTV Gold these days) but he says he would rather hear the end of The Bill than Imogen Heap. Scott then played a drum and bass sounding version of the song from a listener called Greg and Chappers was more positive about this.

Your Call

Tonight you could hear anything you want at all on Your Call apart from Richard Blackwood 'Mama Who Da Man'. That's rated 'R' for Rubbish. Tracks tonight included Hard-fi, Black Eyed Peas, Razorlight and Daniel Powter.

Tonight there was talk about tattoos, pubs, wasps and dyslexic texts. Interestingly she said she'd messed up the predictive text by texting 'dad day' although I'm a little concerned as 'B' and 'D' are on a different key. There was also some guy on a combine harvestor, and to prove it he got up a bit closer, until we heard some manly screams and the phone hung up. Scott reassured listeners that this guy was okay. Don't mess with combine harvestors kids…

And proof that Craig is very strange – 'You're soo rude… You're no good yourself mate'.

Tonight's Most Wanted was the Village People with YMCA. It's shocking to hear that he cut it off half way through to play Akon…

Rate Them Happy

Tonight's Rate My Swimwear Person was Chris Newton from Cuddington. According to Chris there's nothing down his shorts, and he'd just got out the water. His parents are listening so he couldn't really say much, but he's planning to ditch his shorts because they didn't look that glamorous. He's hoping for anything above minging, but he's not single.

Celebrity Tight Wads

One caller had an interesting story to tell about Chris Moyles, as he works in a famous London restaurant chain and it was an all you can eat. He paid by credit card, and didn't really leave much of a tip – just 20p. How ungrateful, that 20p would be very much appreciated in Africa. There was a lot of talk about tips from then on – one of those from The Killers gave £2, Jack Black left £10 and Jo Whiley also splashed out £10 on a tip.

Chappers: "I would say where else Jo Whiley's eaten…"

A lesson learnt?

So what did we learn today? Chris Moyles is apparently tight, Craig is still nuts, not to play with combine harvestors and Chappers enjoys theme tune to The Bill.

Great show today and I was kept very amused. That’s the end of my shift this week, goodbye!
