G’morning. It’s onlybleytuesday. Here’s the low down on today’s show. There were a few gaps in Listen Again today, but hopefully I’ve got everything written down.
Scott’s water was off this morning and it took him 20 minutes to boil some water. His smoke alarm has been beeping for most of the night. Apparently he cannot just take the batteries out because it’s connected to the mains. Despite only being five or so minutes into the show, one texter already jokingly suggested to “put the fire out”.
Celebrity Gossip
Some nobody who was in Neighbours is getting a facelift as part of one of these ‘I’m Not A Celebrity’ television programmes. Scott wants one too to go with the fake tan and sparkling white teeth. Christopher Parker is set to become a CBBC presenter.
Britney Spears has been turned down by Desperate Housewives, Jade Goody isn’t happy that Coleen (Rooney’s partner) has been offered and photo shoot in Vogue and the high streets are selling out of leather jackets after Doctor Who. Rowetta, the X Factor reject, has been offered a 6 figure sum recording contract.
And the Daily Star reports Sara Cox needs a coffee to get going in the morning. Her and many others…
Guess the Flatmate
Scott was quick to put the speculation to rest that the person staying with Scott’s flatmate isn’t his mum. Apparently it’s a girl called Sarah. This could mean she’s famous, or she’s a bit ugly. Suggests including Sarah from Girls Aloud or Sarah Jessica-Parker. Apparently he had a thing from the girl from the Yes Car Credit ads.
Flirt Divert

Mum’s the Word
Scott rang his mum last night and found out that the lady who couldn’t use a mobile phone is using E-bay. She’s tried to buy a set of rare china which is arriving on Friday. She didn’t check the seller’s rating. He joked that she probably didn’t use pay pal and probably gave the seller her credit card number.
Plates
There’s been a bit of a blunder with the plates I mentioned yesterday – the memorabilia for the royal wedding. Because the wedding was postponed they all have the wrong date on.
One caller suggested they should get the plates or “bowles” with the wrong dates on because they’d be worth more in a few years time. She saw it once on Antiques Roadshow…

Celebrity Call
At 7.45am we had the Spongebob call from yesterday and at 9.10 we were given another Zippy from Rainbow call. He rang a baker in the north-east who was playing along in my opinion. The call lasted just over 1 minute 20.
The Takeaway Game
Scott couldn't manage the takeaway game today; he'd failed to get a decent pizza parlour call but promises one by the end of this week. After saying this five thousand people text in asking to hear the first one again.
Rate My Listener
Today’s listener was Tom from Bath. He was rated 43% minging; presumably the flowery duvet in the background was something to do with it.
Homeless Mills: Mills in Blackpool
After many calls yesterday telling Mills he could stay with them, and invites to events such as a weekend away with the cadets, a weekend at the butchers, car boot sales and a lads weekends, Mills decided that he’s going to go away.
After announcing he was going away with Chappers and Laura, a rather loud Amy got in touch asking if she could come along. After Scott said he’d consider it, many more listeners begun flooding the text machine asking if they could come. Scott said everyone could come along in a flash mob style.
Time to find a venue then. Suggestions included Bognor Regis and Alton Towers. Scott decided they were off to Blackpool. Looks like you’ll need to get your accommodation quick, Scott says he isn’t paying for anyone’s travel or housing.
He’s not sure what the plan is. He’s leaving it to Chappers and Vernon (presenting the drive time show). Obviously this gives them a feature to do, something their show seems to lack at the moment.
People from the Blackpool Tourist Board were in touch getting worried. One guy is making t-shirts saying “I’m with Scott Mills” for people going to Blackpool.
Listen Again
There were a few gaps at the end of Listen Again today, so hopefully I didn’t miss anything spectacular.
