I think we will get an announcement on r2 schedule before the end of the week now. The new r1 schedule starts in September and I thought OJ would start the drive time in September these announcements tie it together. Melvin will get good groove and maybe Rickie taking over from OJ or in a different show with r2 needing these names before they could confirm plans

GK Barry covering Matt and Mollie for 6 weeks in the summer. Not sure how she's got a job.shes been terrible on all the previous ones and heavily criticised

Don't think Melv will be too upset about leaving as he is almost certain to have a full time gig on 2 doing the good groove Rickie probably could have stayed on LL with Jerry but ultimately his time is running out on 1 and probably the time to leave. Dean was never going to get back on daytime so probably left to save his early mornings. Nat is a shock as I felt she was getting better with Vicky and probably do LL down the line. I don't think Jerry is a good fit for day times and felt he's better on specialist shows

I listened to early shows of Jordan on capital and it was a lot more polished and professional if you will than it is now. Seems that now he's settled in he's been allowed to be more Jordan esq and have fun with the role. Still sounds great and fluid and they seem to be happy for the show to be a bit more chaotic these days

Have to imagine they thought a bigger scandal was coming. Ie, Seville, Edwards etc and cut him out before it happened. BBC can't afford another child sex scandal and probably lesser of 2 evils for them to fire Scott early and pay compensation later and say sorry

The easiest way back is via I'm a celeb but needs a good break 1st so maybe next year and could start up a podcast with Chris in the meantime and maybe a tell all interview with a Emily Maitliss type

the BBC would have known 100% I had a friend who was investigated for similar and Police spoke to his boss and told them exactly what the charges were. Also had search warrant for his lockers etc We know Scott wasn't questioned until 2 years after the BBC were told but it's likely they were told not to inform Scott while investigation was active but would have access to his accounts.

OJ would be my prediction. Listened to loads of his midnight show and covers and always brilliant. Can rule out Spoony and Trevor as recently got current roles same time as Scott Vernon has most listeners on radio so won't be him Gary is happy as cover I think and lives very close that r2 works well for them to do that and gives them easy cover Rylan, Romesh, Josh, Emma too busy Owain wouldn't be popular with listeners as a lot dislike him Clara Amfo is a strong candidate as she's doing more bits for r2 Vick Hope could move and wouldn't affect her times too much and feel she will be moved on from R1 drive before too long in next reshuffle Angelica Bell does lots of cover and steadily building a good reputation on station Roman Kemp maybe as he has had a break from radio and does not on bbc1 Ronan Keating same as Roman but he's busy until September with other projects For me 1. OJ is big on his family life and does a lot of stuff outside of r2 around Manchester and the north west. I can't imagine he will up route his family to London as he dropped Monday's to see more of them think he would only do it if he can remain in Salford or work out a delay similar to Katie Thistleton on radio 1

I'm pleased Sara has rejected the breakfast show if true. She's doing a really good show at teatime and it flows brilliantly and seems to be getting better and better. For me it's Ronan Keating, fits the age profile and has experience of breakfast shows and brings in loads of women listeners. Will have lots of availability after June when Boyzone finishes and would work well with Ellie as co host

One of the stations main concerns regarding OJ is his reluctance to move to London permanently which is where the station seems to like the weekday shows coming from. I think he could do drive from Manchester and can't see how how he can do Piano room from up there

Scott getting breakfast was a strange one for me as he had only done afternoons for about 18 months and had had had loads of time off for RATW, wedding and other things
