  1. I'm sure Jack mentioned yesterday that he's off next week, with Sian covering the new music show (Tara Kumar is listed on Future Artists). He's still listed on the schedule.
  2. As it means her show would need covering. If Gary's avaliable, there's no need to take her off teatime, or OJ off overnight to cover her. Mark Goodier mentioned on Monday that he's doing his 'Billion Streamers' show on the May bank holidays, so i assume Gary will cover Vernon on those days with OJ on breakfast.
  3. Joel Dommett in for Dermot O'Leary this Saturday (11th April)
  4. Plus he's replied to someone mentioning Radio 2 that it isn't that.
  5. I agree. I'm more inclined to think OJ would be offered drivetime. Spoony's a decent cover presenter on daytimes, but then you'd be looking at someone new for Good Groove (or whatever they would decide to do with that slot). Finding a replacement for OJ's overnight show would be much easier.
  6. I know it's mostly irrelevant to the overall post but to nitpick slightly, Tina is still a relief presenter on tv news bullitens on BBC One. She presented the News At Six and Ten a few weeks back
  7. His Saturday breakfast show on Radio 2 is very different to that of it's weekday counterpart. It's more of a laid back vibe and a lot of the music is different to that of the other daytime shows (heavier focus on indie and alternative, which is what his old Saturday afternoon show was like i believe). You never know, but i just can't see them going for one of the weekend presenters.
  8. Talk TV? So not many people really saw that discussion then.
  9. "Let's see how we can spin this story with a local angle the most tenuous way possible"
  10. I'd agree with the Sara to breakfast and OJ to drive. Overnight could be sorted by giving it to Richie across the week or bringing Phil Williams back on board.
  11. Have you seriously just wrote that?...
  12. The bookies chucking out a load of random names except one obvious candidate...
  13. W/C 20th April Sara Cox sitting for Scott on breakfast OJ sitting in for Sara Connor Phillips in for OJ.
  14. Scott definitely said "See you tomorrow" in his handover chat. They wouldn't update the schedule a week ahead for illness? Hopefully he's alright.
  15. Been a while since Gary did any breakfast cover. Busy few weeks for him then as he's doing Vernon's show from Good Friday then the following two weeks
  16. Shaun Keaveny is sitting in for Bob Harris on Sounds Of The 70's today.
  17. Rest of Good Friday is: 12-3pm Sounds Of Soul with Tony Blackburn. 3-6pm Billion Streamers with Mark Goodier Part 1 6-9pm is currently blank but it's usually religious programming. It used to be 'At The Foot Of The Cross', but it came under the 'Good Morning Sunday' brand last year 9pm-12am Unwinds with Angela Griffin Easter Monday is pretty much the same but it's Best of the Piano Room at 6pm. Gary Davies is in for Vernon on Good Friday, Easter Monday, then for two weeks.
  18. Vicky Hawkesworth is on with Melvin today, as Charlie is on the road with Greg.
  19. So as discussed in the chat box.. it appears she has actually left Radio 2. I'm sure Shaun said last week or the week before that she would be back, so seems rather sudden. Will be interesting to see who replaces her, if they go for a show with a similar presenting style/vibe and eclectic music collection. Shaun Keaveny getting that slot full time would be a good choice. Josh Widdicombe would be another possible candidate.
  20. @ianwilk1999 There's a tv ratings thread on Digital Spy forum. Although I haven't seen anything reported for This Morning in recent times... I believe most of ITV daytime is under a million. It only really picks up a bit for Tipping Point and The Chase.
  21. Vernon is not going to give up the biggest radio gig in Europe and regular presenting role on The One Show for This Morning that is watched by less than a million viewers. The papers always run stories like that, same with the constant Who's going to host Strictly articles.
  22. Shaun Keaveny is in for Liza Tarbuck for the next few Saturdays listed as well (14th, 21st and 28th March).
  23. A post popped up on my Insta feed the other day which appeared to list the the 3 headliners for Big Weekend.. Fatboy Slim was listed, alongside Olivia Dean and Zara Larrson.
  24. @Jono Tbf, Lush Life has had a resurgence in the charts thanks to TikTok, and she's on the remix of Pinkpantheress's 'Stateside' so that's why they're playing her a lot as well.
  25. Aww. Greg's put a video up about what's been happening the past few days with his Dad. Sounds like him and his family are really going through it atm, but he's back on breakfast tomorrow and determined to do the comic relief challenge.
