  1. I wasn't happy that it's split over 2 weeks... I've got to try and remember to watch it next saturday to find out what happens.

I studied Animal Farm in year 8 and then again in year 9, both times in detail (in 2 different schools). So it kinda ruined it for me. But maybe one day I might be able to read it without having to analyse it slowly and painfully in school.
  3. I'm listening to Snow Patrol on Radio 1 and singing along, even though my voice is going... loving it. It's the dance party soon though not quite my kinda thing. It's just not for a Saturday night at home.
  4. She's pretty, but she looks almost unnaturally thin. She looks at least 20, not 17. I find it weird that Theo Walcott is younger than me and playing for England...
  5. She can't give consent because she's underage, and under the age where they're lenient, and she was drunk. Consent given under the influence of alcohol is not consent. Good thing they charged him with rape. Sleeping with an 11 year old is sick and wrong.
  6. I went out last night for a school event. Had a decent night although alcohol was strictly limited. Took a wander back through Brighton with some friends through large groups of 13 year old chavs with lager cans in hand. Got to bed at about 11:30 but couldn't sleep, so I listened to music. This morning I woke up at 7:40am because of the bleeping seagulls, they're really irritating. I had breakfast at school then took a train back home. I went for a run then went out and bought some new earphones for my mp3 player and new strings for my guitar. I'm going to go cycling soon, then hopefully do some work.
  7. A boy in my class brought this up yesterday and said, "when I was 11 I didn't even know what sex was!... well I did, but..." It's really bad though. I've seen enough 11 year olds smoking. The first time I properly had alcohol and got a bit tipsy was when I was 12, but I still think that getting drunk enough to end up having sex at the age of 11 is wrong. I knew a girl who had sex at the age of 11, thankfully she didn't end up pregnant, but the experience messed her up. Can you imagine the future of the country with 63 year old parents and 25 year old grandparents?

Probably the most 'mature' book I've read and enjoyed is 1984 by George Orwell, I loved that book. Your comment just reminded me of when in year 10 (aged 14) my friend told her English teacher that she'd read an "adult book", and was very proud of herself. I had to explain to her why it was funny...
  9. I woke up at 4:40am feeling absolutely terrible. I didn't regain use of my voice till about 3pm. They think I might have a chest infection, and I gotta see the doctor tomorrow. Tomorrow morning we're doing an assembly for the school, found out 2 days ago, and we've been planning it. I wrote most of it actually, so I hope it goes well. But yes, nice weather again. It was hot at 10pm, I'm wearing jeans and a t-shirt without at jumper, when a friend of mine nearly ran me over in his new car... I sometimes wonder why they let teenagers drive.

I read that before I saw the film, cos it came free with Time Out that my mum bought, and I found the book lying around and nicked it. The book made me cry, but the film didn't, because I already knew what was going to happen. The last book I read was by Helen Fielding (writer of Bridget Jones' Diary) called Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination. Think of Bridget Jones crossed with James Bond, and that's it. Good bit of chick lit. Seriously though, my favourite two authors are Douglas Coupland and Nick Hornby. Nick Hornby wrote About A Boy, High Fidelity and A Long Way Down, three of my favourite books. And the books Generation X, Microserfs, Life After God, Girlfriend In A Coma, Miss Wyoming, Shampoo Planet and Eleanor Rigby by Douglas Coupland. I love his outlook on life. Another author for teenagers is Aidan Chambers, particularly Postcards From No Man's Land, which I've read a few times and loved.
  11. I would record it, but neither video machine in my house will actually record properly, cos one of them doesn't like the reception and the other TV has intregrated digital. Haven't got a DVD recorder yet, although we might have to... I saw some photos of Billie Piper in Reveal mag (I was ill and in the health centre at school and there was nothing else to read, not even strange health leaflets) and she had a massive bandana on to hide a spot while she was out shopping. I hate celebrity magazines - she was only going shopping, and they criticised her for trying to hide the spot, then for having it. Stupid stupid magazine.
  12. "imagine for example your crack is wack" - ohhhh god.....
  13. Gotta listen to that I think... Like this new song from Feeder
  14. Race For Life? Is that the 5k run for cancer research UK? I did that last July...

    Happy Europe Day!

Yeah, happy Europe day everyone. Apparently my birthday is National Badger Day... according to the little book of random facts with the Independent a couple of weekends ago.

I know everyone else has exams sooner, but mine are "the most important exams I will ever take" etc, and they directly affect where I spend the next few years. Hate exams
  20. I didn't know that Kanye West song because I don't like Kanye West... good enough reason not to know it.

Are they the exams that go on all day? That's got to be bad... One month today until my exams begin
