  1. Ha, funny you ask this. Yesterday I emailed the online team to ask this. I notice the link to it from the DJs minisites has disappeared though....
  2. Scott was there for about 5 I think!! And he's done very well. Listen to the clip of him on here when he came from Brits after party - HILARIOUS! But in answer to your question, hopefully not.
  3. I assume so but probably not Greg James. He has been live on Christmas Day breakfast for last 3 or so years.
  4. Completely agree. Beccy is so naturally funny and quickwitted. Her contributions during Tap End make that feature! (no matter what Laurence says)
  5. I dread the coverage over Xmas - it is always dire. Disappointing lack of Greg James and Nick Grimshaw on the chart countdown. They all seem a bit meh apart from Scott Mills obviously! I cannot wait for the lineup in January of Nick, Sara, Scott and Greg. Its going to be fantastic.
  6. Did anyone hear the clip? My god it was dire...
  7. Jameela's request show is a bit clunky, maybe its just me, but whenver I'm listening she seems to make quite a few mistakes! I think she might struggle with the chart show to begin with. It is a very complex show with regards to timings. I'm just more amazed they gave a show back to Tom Deacon. The mind boggles. They desperately need to bring someone fresh and new to Radio 1 with the passion and energy Greg James had when he started (and still does, actually!).
  8. I am amazed they have brought Tom Deacon back. Would have been an ideal platform for someone new, from the Student Radio Awards...
  9. It really annoys me that everyone is pinning this on Grimmy. It is the playlist team.
  10. Personally, I dont think its juvinile, its just aimed at the 15-29 age group, a lot more then Chris Moyles was, hense why he lost so many listeners. Don't get me wrong I liked Chris Moyles, but his talk was in no way suited to youth radio. He did actually explain the whole halloween fiasco, and I think it got a bit blown out of a proportion. He was told by his invited friend that he was allowed to come, so I dont think he "deiberately gatecrashed" as everyone is insituating. He was just mislead! But also, with regards to "banning Robbie Williams", that is completely ridiculous. It is not his decision, it is that of the music team and playlist meeting who decide what to playlist for the shows. And they decided Candy was not appropriate for Radio 1. And he did actually play it on Monday, so saying that he personally has banned Robbie Williams is a silly statement. I'm not trying to convert you to listen to his show, as it really isnt for everyone, but I just think the statements you made about him were pretty outlandish!
  11. Akward! Was it one of the 3 minute ones or the 12:45 one?
  12. I do. Think he is just what Radio one needs. Seeing as your username is "welovemoyles" I imagine you are going to disagree with me. ...I imagine you are over 29 too Sorry!
  13. Hmm I guess cutbacks are cutbacks and I can see the need/desire to combine 1/1x newsbeats. Seems so wasteful doing them differentely! I agree with Nik, its not Newbeats fault. If they are given a time of 10:30 for example, its the producers/presenters role to ensure they are both ready for news at 10:30. Obviously took their eye off the ball yesterday!
  14. They are just working Huw Stephens to the bone instead!
  15. Ahhh it was you! Good work, they made a decent video!
  16. Yes they do. Its just you have to pay for membership to RAJARS to get that info, where as the Breakfast show stats for all national stations are published on the homepage for free as that is the one that gathers the most interest.
  17. Agreed - some of my favourite laugh out loud moments from the show have been from the conversations between the production team and Grimmy. They are such a fresh, young and funny team, which is exactly what needed to happen to Radio 1. I know all the Moyles team will hate on me, but did we really need to hear about where Dave was taking his daughter or how many eggs Doms chickens have laid? Is that what appeals to a youth audience? Grimmys team are young, current, funny and relevently on trend.
  18. A month in, how are you enjoying the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw? Personally I am really enjoying it! The Guardian gave it a glowing review: http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2012/oct/24/nick-grimshaws-breakfast-show-hungry-more
  19. Someone commented on a pic put on the R1 facebook, saying they wanted to see what the new studioes looked like. Annie Mac's team obliged and made a video - v. nice of them. They look so much bigger! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152232958715503
  20. Ahaha, he used to produce Tom Deacon, someone whos show was axed from the schedule....says something!
  21. Good spot, I heard this as well, Grimmy definately said first thing Friday that that would be Dev's last show from there. I guess it was posponed? I really want to see the new studies, does anyone know where I can?
  22. Hi all, Has anyone else noticed that since Fearne having a change in production team it has really changed the vibe of the show? Or is it just me?! I cant BEAR that new producer James and how he constantly speaks "off mike". He is just so loud and shouty and irritating and a massive fan of his own voice. I'd rather listen to Capital from 10-1. Bring back Phil Stocker and Alex Full (Cornish!)
  23. Just out of curiousity is anyone listening to the podcasts that are called the Chris Moyles Show Replay? I think it is done by someone at cm.net. I have listened to quite a few of them, it is absoutely amazing what Chris could get away with saying back in 2004. Some of it is outragous! (but brilliantly outragous!). I think it was well before people and papers lynched him for making this slightest of comment. Such a shame that he was muzzled to the extent he had been.
