  1. It didnt mention Scott at all, or anyone else really. It was just about the Hoff. Nobody here has a clue who Scott is. They wouldnt write about him in there! I just knew it was about him cause I'm a regular listener.
  2. Was reading one of those stupid magazines at the grocery checkout. I think it was OK (our version) Well the article didnt mention him directly. It was about David Hasselhoff clubbing in LA and had a picture of him grabbing the butt of a woman at least thirty years younger. hmm. It said at the club that night the DJ played the Knight Rider theme. Scott was talking about that. Wasnt he with David that night? It also said, "David is filming a British reality show called Living With My Idol due to air in March." Oh, so THAT'S what he's doing with Scott!!
  3. I'm wondering if this made international news cause its the top of our headlines at the moment. Yesterday a large passenger plane had just begun its journey when it hit a huge flock of geese that stopped the engines. I'm sure the animal rights people will have a word or two. The plane crashed in a river where the water was 36 degrees, and I dont know what that is in Celsius, but in that water people could die in minutes. There were 155 people on the plane and they were all rescued by the Coast Guard. One person had hypothermia and somebody else fell off a life raft, and there were 2 people with broken limbs. The pilot is being hailed in the media as a hero for his quick thinking and levelheadness to smoothly land the plane in the river near no people, and get everyone out. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28678669/
  4. American Boy was like the 4th track after midnight. Its not nearly high-energy enough for that. The rest of it was great! Madonna - Hung Up right before midnight was excellent.
  5. First I listened to all the stuff on Radio 1. I really liked the mix. I was rockin out to S Club man. It was very well done. The bell chimes were awesome, and I loved the after midnight mix, although American Boy is not a new year's midnight track imo. I kept thinking about people across the pond having house parties and blasting it. Then I was listening to Paul Van Dyk and really enjoyed that. Then my friends came and picked me up and we went to the street party my city has. I went last year and arrived at 11:45 so I was really glad we got there at 10. Upon arrival, I went to the 7-11 on the corner and bought a bottle of champagne for five bucks, cause I live the high life. I needed it for midnight. so they were expecting 30,000 people this year. it was pretty crammed. we lost our friend. in thousands of people. right at midnight! well we were looking for him. I popped open the champagne at 11:59 and thought about the epic sweeping soap opera that was the whole second half of 2008 and how I was so glad that whole thing was over, and I would really try to move on, and I drank to the new year as the ball rose and fireworks shot off and everyone screamed and kissed around me. I think if we hadnt lost him it would have been better but eh I enjoyed myself. pictures the newspaper photographer took, which are a hell of a lot better than mine LOL http://static.mgnetwork.com/rtd/slideshows/20090101_carytown2/index.html still got half that bottle of champagne left. I had some today. got a bit wrecked off it hehe. its the only time in my life I have ever been drunk. rather interesting but not something I enjoy too much to sum it up, thank you Radio 1, for letting me celebrate new year's TWICE!

You guys have to help me. I dont know what SMS is. Its some cell phone thing. You have a lot of things I'm quite unfamiliar with. I swear man, is your grass blue over there?
  8. um......minds out of the gutter please What all did you get? oh come on its on every other forum I'm on As for me, well, I'm a DJ still fine-tuning my repertiore in my room and ever since I started DJing a year and five months ago now I have been using a sound system from the Cambrian era found in my attic. It barely works and my left speaker cuts out all the time and I just harrass and beg and plead my parents cause I have no money to buy a new one. Its been like that since I started. This was my parents' present to me http://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier-by-Fender-4-Channel-PA-System-100895127-i1153305.gc *jumps around screaming* I also got a flipping massive bag. That thing is so huge you could put animals in it. And some really comfy PJs, the bottoms of which I am wearing. They are really fuzzy and soft And a book and a gift certificate to the bookstore from my brother. The speakers were my dad's only present to me but that is fiiiiiiine with me Merry Christmas! or......oh you guys have Boxing Day dont you?
  9. The meaning of life is to learn. Yep. Thats what I think anyway.
  10. Yeah Twilight was MASSIVE when it opened here. It was in the news: lines around the block, sold out midnight shows. I need to see it too!!
  11. Here in the States the movie version of the massively huge bestselling novel Marley & Me opens on Christmas Day. I cant wait to see it! I've never read the book although my parents love it aw man. I used to work at a movie theater and did the Christmas Day shift. holy..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKT-Rljuxf8&feature=related
  12. He plays the most random stuff on earth. Very fun. THere was a great article about him in Mixmag some months ago. Apparently I am subscribed to his official podcast....eh?
  13. Stone Roses.......aww that was incredible. never heard music quite like that I've never heard of Stone Roses. I dont know if they were ever popular here I loved that album. it was amazin'!!
  14. Simon Cowell, from X Factor, is also on our show American Idol Jono so yeah we also have to put up with his mouth. But people love him! He is a star here. The Howard Stern show is filmed in the radio studio and broadcast on E. At least, it used to be. I think my dad has Sirius but I'm not sure.
  15. I'm a DJ and I listen to dance music and NOTHING is off limits to dance remixers and its really ridiculous. I've got a dance remix of REM - Losing My Religion, for example. And it is actually good. hehe. I really dont listen to rap. Ever.
  16. I'm 25 and am commonly mistaken for 18ish. It will come in handy when I'm 37. But for now its a bit aggravating. I've been walking by the high school and mistaken for a student!!
  17. After I voted yesterday, for Obama btw, I got my sticker (the voter sticker) and I went to Starbucks and got my free coffee. woot! Then at the dentist's office I saw on the news that Chick-fil-A, a fast food chain here in the States, was giving away free chicken sandwiches to people with voter stickers, so I went and got one. woot! yay for free stuff! Everywhere I went the election was all anybody was talking about and I saw loads of people wearing Obama/McCain/Please Vote t-shirts, buttons, hats.
  18. Thanks Jono. I know where I'm going after I vote!
  19. The election has been freakin nuts. I've never seen an election get this much press coverage. Every year, the government people harvest phone numbers and then computers call your house in the evening and recordings play down the phone of candidates doing their spiel. We get the calls at least 3 or 4 times per day. There was one supporting McCain that said Obama was a terrorist. I found that quite funny. A few weeks ago Obama spoke in my city and I went to the rally. I couldnt get in, but I stood outside the venue with a couple hundred people listening to his speech on big speakers. It was really awesome, cause I've never seen a presidential rally before and he is the first African American candidate and all. Yesterday some McCain supporters came to my house. It was a lady and her kids, and this girl, probably 8, told me about McCain. I thought it was great that kids were taking an interest in politics and I couldnt slam the door on cute little kids - clearly the mom knew what she was doing. Sarah Palin spoke near me over the weekend. I thought about going but did not. And then the campaign signs are everywhere you look, everywhere! See, my state is what they call a "battleground state" but I'm not really sure what that means. hehe Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm voting for Obama but give me some more web time to research him and McCain. I'm lazy and never get around to researching the candidates until the last minute, although I did watch the debates....well, one. Obama is a huge celebrity. He's on the covers of magazines that have nothing to do with politics. I saw him on the cover of Source, which is a popular hip hop music magazine (WTF?), and in People Michelle Obama was voted one of the best dressed women along with Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron etc. I'm pretty sure Election Day is a federal holiday and everybody gets off work and school.
  20. no, cause when that happens I download it again replacing the file. some of them are really incomplete.
  21. It sucks My hearing has not been tested - ever - but I am aware I listen to music too loud. The last few days I've been having the symptoms: ear pain, tinnitus (ringing. but only for a few seconds). I can understand my ear hurting after hearing loud music. But it has been hurting all day today and I didnt hear anything loud! My ear has been very sensitive and I cant listen to loud things. I'm being very smart when I crank up my headphones while DJing I DJed yesterday with the volume LOW I go to this club every week but never without earplugs. I never, ever walk into a club without them on. Well, I did this one time because I was, um, trying to date the owner and I needed to go back to the club and discuss it with him. tee hee. that was last week and since then - my poor ear! I'm calling the doctor on Monday. I'm afraid of getting my hearing tested. I hear fine but I know that damage has been done; I research this a lot. about me and the club owner. yeah I hope it works out. that is, before I am deaf *cry*
  22. there are several errors in that one sounds like a case of Scott being on the wine again sometimes the podcasts are not complete and they download to your computer cutting off in mid-sentence. I mean a full download too. Its happened before
  23. We have 4 time zones: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific. And then there's Alaska and Hawaii but I'm not sure about those but there are 4 in the continental US. I live in Virginia, on the East Coast, and in California, on the West Coast, they are 3 hours behind. and fyi the UK is 5 hours ahead and oh yes the UK begins daylight savings several weeks before us. back then it took me ages to figure out why Scott was not coming on at 11 anymore. or maybe ours changes before theirs. not sure but it'll even out in about 3 weeks or so
  24. Yeah those podcasts knock me out man. Not that they are boring but they make falling asleep a lot easier. I often dream that I am.....listening to podcasts. Never had naughty dreams about Scott though. I imagine that would make me wake up screaming. Hee, kidding!
