Personally, I felt it kept veering between comic irony of being bad and just being bad. Overreviewing it, I know.

There'll be more relating to playlist and Access all Areas week though, not just tweeting. According to stuff heard today, but I don't think we're supposed to say details.

It would be bad of me to request for it, that'd be piracy, but it were suddenly to arrive in my email inbox if there's no DRM on it that would be a nice surprise.

So now it's actually out, many people get it? I've been enjoying it, listened to it quite a few times. Not really worried about the "overproduction", I think it sounds great blasting it in my headphones really loudly. It's well recorded and sounds great (for the majority of it) and I love the songs. It's a good collection, personally I think the newer ones are stronger (the first half of the album mainly), with Waterproofs and Liar being highlights of recent parodies, and Barack Obama and Nana Window hold up really well as full songs despite what you may expect. Other favourites include Dom in Jose (the "if I was a number..." line cracks me up) and Davina McCall is a fun song. However, the unexpected highlights are some of the original tracks, with Album Track and Funeral Song being really funny, catchy, and possibly my favourites on there. Never Gonna Show... eeh, it's good, but I don't think it really hits the style/standards of the Christmas songs it's going after. Possibly not the strongest to be the single off the album, but hey, Christmas single, everyone's got to have a go... On the whole, really like it. The only thing that pisses me off is that the 20 minute making of video is only on iTunes, and only when you buy the full album.

It should mention it in the thing you mention when you sign up on the forum that they can see anything in the DB. Unlike passwords, private messages are not encrypted, sooo...

Thought so, might as well check. I really like how the montages sound when they stick 'em online, and the voiceovers they use work well with them. It's also nice that they're quick rather than telling me I can download Radio 1 podcasts for free at bbc.co.uk etc etc...

And now that I'm paying close attention to them... those aren't the voices currently used on R1 used on the montages, are they?

I listened to the montage yesterday, didn't really catch it, but the talk on here made me listen back to it and turns out, yup, this there.

Very nice. Well, people on here were saying that 1tros needed a bit of a shakeup, and it's better this than them adding 3 notes for BBC... You can also slightly hear it at 1:05 in this: http://www.music4.com/musicservices/catalogue/625/bbc-radio-1/1tros-october-2009.html Not as strong, but clearly it's Radio 1 being sung.

Samples of the tracks you unlock in game are a bit longer, and some at difference places. Interestingly they seem to musically sound a bit better compressed, although that flies in the face of all logic and everything I stand for. Will see how the full versions go.

Nice to see the leather glove make an appearance! Again, I'm going to moan that using the same font for everything EVER on Radio 1 gets boring, even if it's rather a nice font. Hopefully they'll get over it soon. Well, almost the same font, they can play with some curvey bits to give it some originality but it's just not the same as giving each their own character... which one would expect to be more important now images are more prominent. Yes, it's the same stupid whine I always make at the new sites. I do like comparing tracklistings between, say, Moyles and Greg though. Amusing.

I think the reason there's no link from /review/ is because /review/ is linked from next to nowhere, however programmes/b00bmgkeghergueur is what is in the BBC Programmes system, so is linked on iPlayer and the R1 schedule. Short addresses would be nice.

Nice to see as much creativity going in to the logos with what they can do with Century Gothic... Also: Bullyproof site. If the theme to this campaign is La Roux - Bulletproof it will be both awful and the best thing ever. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/bullyproof/
