Now we all know that countries have their own patron saint and they have their own little "day", however can someone please explain to me the fascination with Paddys day? I live in Edinburgh and was out last night in a club which had irish "decor" (hats, flags and some bunting), this confused me somewhat as Edinburgh is in Scotland/Britain but definitly not Ireland. For the last couple days I've seen the odd post on my facebook about today and then when I had a look at it this morning there are already people saying "happy paddys day" who I know for a fact are not from Ireland. Obviously its just gonna be used as a pathetic excuse for some to go out and get wasted tonight but I still don't see why people seem to latch onto it as their day as well.

Feeling sorry for a friend at the moment. Yesterday she texts me to say her probationary period at work has ended and she's passed, and today she tells me that she got a redundancy letter this morning as her branch type thing is being shut

More music is always bad on the radio. As far as I'm concerned I have an MP3 player if I want to listen to just music and then I get to listen to my tastes in music and escape a lot of the gob shite that gets played. A bit of music yes definitly, but when it comes to radio there has to be chat and funny bits.

Saw a girl from my past today, I can't really say ex because we didn't go out, but she was certainly more than a regular friend. We fell out not long after we met and hadn't spoken since. I very much doubt she recognised me, to be honest I didn't realise it was her till I saw the name on her pass. All I can say is the phrase "lucky escape" doesn't even come close. That'll be a win for Craig then

got robbed of £2 to get the bus from a garage in East Lothian back to the outskirts of the city this morning and I was only on the thing for about 15 minutes. Makes me wonder what the hell people are complaining about when the company I work for put their adult fare up to £1.40 last weekend.

I seem to be one of the few who isn't bothered by the change. Granted, it'll be weird to hear Scott on early afternoon instead of late afternoon but I'm sure we'll get used to it in the end. I don't mind Greg at all so him being moved isn't bothering me either.

Yes we know full well she is an adult, however I was actually referring to her carrying on on the radio like some sort of teenager. She got into presenting as a child and sadly her presenting style hasn't matured with her age as you would think it might.

Of the 3 on this supposid short list it without a doubt has to be Greg. Fearne is a kid doing an adults job, and Grimshaw and others like him should simply be taken out of the gene pool. It wouldn't surprise me though if all of this was just to try and sensationalise a story that obviously will inevitably happen, but may not be for quite a while yet. Nobody thinks that Moyles will be there till the end of time but at the moment the show is good as ever, its still funny, the guys still have a laugh which in turn makes the listener laugh. I'd take these things with a pinch of salt though, we know what the papers are like when it comes to him. Anyone remember a couple of years ago we were being given front page headlines about how he would be axed within months? I think its safe to say that journalist has since been shown to have written a lie there. I'll wait for the BBC themselves to confirm/announce anything where Chris Moyles is concerned.
