Sony Radio Awards 2006: gold for Scott Mills

All evening we’ve been following the live webcast of the Sony Radio Awards 2006. Scott Mills first picked up silver in the Music Programme Award, and then gold in the Interactive Programme Award.

The webcast team noticed we were watching and we became a topic of the backstage webcast: Kevin Greening spoke to Scott about Unofficial Mills and gave the site a shout-out. Cheers Scott!

It was a great night for Radio 1, with Zane Lowe picking up two golds, Chris Moyles picking up his first gold, and Radio 1 named Station of the Year.

How the night unfolded

  • 7.40pm – Unofficial Mills gets a mention on the live feed, thanks to Marsha
  • 7.52pm – Radio 1’s Sex Tour wins silver in the Community Award
  • 7.59pm – Despite Scott winning the listeners’ poll, Kerrang! 105.2 takes gold in the Music Programme Award for Mornings with Rick Shaw. Scott gets silver and hit40uk bronze
