A painter and decorator called Mike is invited to secretly snoop around a celebrity’s house and report back on-air — but the celebrity is actually listening the whole time, and things escalate in wildly uncomfortable directions.
Scott launches a new feature inspired by the celebrity home tours seen in magazines and TV shows like “Through the Keyhole,” but with a twist: listeners doing work in celebrities’ homes would give behind-the-scenes reports on what those houses are actually like. Mike, a tradesman working in the house of a mystery celebrity, has agreed to have a look around and describe what he finds, with the understanding that his employer’s identity stays secret.
From his position in the kitchen, Mike opens the fridge and reports on three bottles of wine, finds dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and discovers bills and post on the side. Scott then reveals the surprise: the celebrity herself — Liz Allwood from Atomic Kitten — is on the line listening to everything Mike is saying. Liz and Scott use this advantage to encourage Mike further into her house, eventually persuading him to venture into her bedroom.
Once Mike is in Liz’s bedroom, he describes a large bed and clothes scattered around. Scott and Liz then hatch a plan to get Mike to try on a pink bra they know is on the bed. After some negotiation and financial incentives (the offer rising from £20 to £50), Mike agrees. When Scott then reveals that Liz is on the line, Mike’s mortification is immediate and complete. The segment ends with Mike having to take the bra off while Liz — amused, if slightly irritated at Scott for pushing it so far — listens in real time.
