Even months before the official announcement of ‘Mote Park’ in Maidstone, the location was already circling around on the internet. So when Chris Moyles turned up in the city last month it came as no surprise to some eagle eyed surfers… Now it seems the secret line-up is also slowly becoming apparent.
Hadouken! have been rumoured to be playing the bill after their tour dates show a gap mysteriously at the time of the Big Weekend. As one of the huge bands Zane likes to play out it will come as no surprise if they do end up playing Maidstone.
Something that will worry organisers too is that some artists have been adding the event to their myspace calendar. Radio 1’s latest hot discover, Sam Sparro, appears to have confirmed he’ll be playing on his profile.
It seems at this rate that the full line-up won’t be a surprise come the end of April – should artists continue to giveaway hints like this. If you spot any more hints or rumours let us know on the forum.
