George thought she saw the phantom pooer last night. She kept her distance and went three carriages up. She’s now sitting on three free newspapers per journey.
Update on Psycho Kid
Ben went on his date round the girl’s house yesterday, and had to stay with the psycho kid. But you know what? It was all fine. He didn’t do anything out of line.
Lost In Translation
Scott had a load of French phrases today, and gave the information tourist centre in France a call. He posed as a doctor from Holby City Hospital and needs help talking to a French lady. Phrases included a line from McFly’s new single, Put Your Hands Up For Detriot, and the dog is in the garden. For a good four minutes the French lady remained on the line. Not bad!
The final Laura’s Diary
It’s here. The final episode of Laura’s Diary. Over the last year Laura has become part of your life after Mary found the diaries in Laura’s bedroom in York. Now for the final page. The season finale of Laura’s Diary from 11th September 1998. Laura thinks she’s pregnant and she doesn’t know what to do. Ben stayed over the night before and was always careful. But last night it went wrong. They called the family planning centre, but they’re not open. Ben was going to go with Laura too. She thinks they’ll all be looking at her making assumptions. She wants to tell her mum, but she can’t. She wants to call Ben, but the parents might hear, so she can’t. She keeps thinking of science lessons and the diagrams there were. She hasn’t spoke all day just incase. She’s even too scared to go downstairs incase her mum can tell. She can’t have a baby now, it would change everything, she hasn’t got much money, her boyfriend is going to dump her soon, and daddy would go mental. And that’s how it was left… want to know more? And in the studio was Melanie C. She even brought Laura a present of her greatest hits on DVD. I’m sure that makes up for not replying to her letter when she needed her… Laura recalled the time they met at a signing at Glasgow Virgin Megastore when she signed her copy of Northern Star. This is when Laura gave Mel a Christmas decoration star, and was ushered along. Laura had a few questions for Mel including ‘do they still call Mel, Holland’. A story about her being flat chested. Which reminds her, that’s why they’re similar… as she likes to move tins of baked beans around to show the label. Laura could still recall where Mel’s Girl Power tattoo is too. What a psycho.
Laura and Mel even gave a rendition of Who Do You Think You Are. But will there be a Spice Girls reunion in the pipeline? Mel doesn’t think the day will ever happen, but despite every one else getting back together, she doesn’t think they need to. Laura claimed she even had a VHS tape of the Spice Girls performances. And she even had a cardboard cut out of her in her room at university. It’s pretty obvious Mel would leave quite quickly after this…
JT in the Studio
The studio smelt of wine last time Justin popped in. This time he’s determined it won’t happen, so Scott got the Febreeze out. Justin was only in the UK for a day or two, and wasn’t particuarly fond of the early morning. To be honest he wasn’t that exciting, and he didn’t really want to tell us much about his life. He answered some questions for the listeners, and any questions too deep he stumbled on. But he did reveal he’s never made love to his music before.
Geek Speak
I thought it was a good show today, despite Justin Timberlake being a RUBBISH guest. An excellent fortnight, and some unique and amusing ideas and banter. Looking forward to the return of the afternoon show though… early morning typing really doesn’t suit me!
