Good Afternoon! I'm rushed off my feet today with work, but I'm here to give you a run down of today's Scott Mills show. So here it is…
Scott's got an ear infection in his 'middle ear' apparently. It's a good job he believes everything the doctor says or they'd be problems. Spotted today was a girl from Star FM in her car singing along to the choons on Radio 1.
Mmm, well I quite fancy a bit of placenta today…
So Tom Cruise is going to apparently eat the placenta of his child – it's quite gritty. Chappers said he never went near 'the child' when his was looking like that. I personally think Meal or No Meal with a placenta would certainly be an interesting format for TV. One caller was going to have a placenta pizza, but was told it was quite disturbing. Another was on about fried placentas. During Newsbeat John off of the forum posted a nice picture of a placenta, and Scott was freaking Chappers out with a similar picture. You can even get recipes for them you know. Sarah, a caller, had a placenta pate after they had put it in the freezer. She didn't like that idea, so had it with crackers. She said it tastes quite a bit like chicken.
Just incase you're bored like me of all these ticket giveaways; Scott had some Take That tickets to get rid of. It’s all because they're playing an exclusive gig for Chris Moyles in a secret location (Madia Valia) on Thursday.
One Week on…
So this weekend Laura and Gareth apparently met up, and Laura got to meet the parents. He wanted to know if there was any minky minky, but all she wanted to reveal was they're now officially boyfriend and girlfriend. But she didn't seem too keen on discussing it…
Chappers: "Did you swap eggs?"
(Laughs)
Scott: "Well it was Easter, Laura!"
Oh panties! Looks like we might have to do this all again… Has it gone all Ulrika on us?
But what she said doesn't appear to be the whole truth. Surely as the Scott Mills listeners we deserve to know what has been going on? Ross, Gareth's friend, said he had been to Amsterdam with Gareth at the weekend but Laura wasn't with him. So what was Laura on about? When Scott asked her she stormed out of the studio.
Chappers: "Could you make sure you pass the tea machine on the way out"
So why was Laura so stressed? Was the dog and cat food finally having an effect from Meal or No Meal? Scott realised he had to apologise for poking his nose into her problems. But rumour has it she’d been with another guy recently. Keep listening to the show for more on that…
Noel Edmonds – he's almost as old as Chopper!
Meal Or No Meal
Scott saw Deal or No Deal the other day but he didn't have a clue what was going on – a bit like my family – but I just about understand it. Thankfully we have Meal or No Meal, a much simplified version. So it looks like Chappers or the new one that doesn't speak – Rhys – won't be playing today. They refuse. So today it was another game with Scott and Laura. Today the treats included carrot soup, tomatoes, sweet and sour chicken. Once more Laura ended up with the chicken dog food. That's 3 – 0 to Scott.
Laura: "Is it? It tastes like Cornbeef!"
Scott's after a twist in this game for next time, as they seem to be getting a little too comfortable with eating dog and cat food. I think it’s about time they got a banker involved, so Scott’s decided that a caller will ring in next time and will choose what tins they eat. They could just pick one or two of the tins to give that variety – but I’m sure they’ll work on that. Interesting to see the Scott Mills Show taking on Deal or No Deal at the same time!
Record of the Week
This week's Record of the Week comes from Corrine Bailey Rae – 'Trouble Sleeping'. Chopper doesn’t like it. I'm not too keen on it either. What do you think? Get on the forum and tell us.
Flirt Divert
One guy had a song for Sandy who wanted to make love to her, and that was pretty much all of the lyrics, and in a very high voice it was too. More misuse of the number with ‘Peter's Mum’ ringing to ask about his birthday present so he could try it on before the guarantee runs out. And one girl likes a certain guy’s big… feet… who she met recently.
Chappers: "Does he only have one leg then?"
Some more typical sad stories on Flirt Divert – one girl was missing out on a rocking chess night, and another guy had broken down and the person with the jump leads had given him the Flirt Divert number. All is fair in the world of Flirt Divert.
So what does Jono think?
Great show today, some good comedy throughout the show, even if the placenta discussion was a little gross at times! I’m back on Friday with another review; in the meantime I’ll leave the reviewing to my trusty team of reviewers. See you on the forum…
