Jo Whiley International
Today Chappers (or Chopper as he's now known as) tried to get an airport named after one of the Radio 1 DJs – so naturally Jo Whiley was just the person to go for. He ended up getting through to Blackpool International Airport's marketing department, and they said they'd suggest it at their daily meeting. By the end of the show there were some signs of the airport rename being a success, and they want to hear your views on_their_website. You can also vote in our website poll here.
Friends Reunited

It's something BT would be proud of, Scott bringing friends together. Scott used the basis of the takeaway game (calling up two people and letting them talk to each other) and this time used two friends. It's a simple idea, but can have some funny results. The first two guys were your usual pub-stereotypes, more interested in what each other wanted than the fact neither of them had rang the other. But then Scott tried it out on Mary (off of the diary) and her friend Claire. They were totally freaked out by the whole idea of neither of them ringing each other. It was all very 'blonde' (if you excuse the stereotype there).
Scott's Telephone Box Antics
Scott was talking about his telephone box problems recently. But don't worry, he's not been a naughty boy, and he's not putting Boris Johnson to shame. He was saying how difficult he found making a telephone call in a telephone box when his mobile phone ran out. Chappers went out to try and call the studio to prove Scott wrong. Scott's point was he doesn't want to e-mail, go on t'internet or text. He just wants to make a phone call. Chappers managed to get through to the studio within seconds (and who says those Radio 1 phone operators are lazy?)
And under the bridge…
Scott had some more Red Hot Chilli Peppers tickets to giveaway for some lucky listeners, as they're playing an exclusive Radio 1 gig this week.
